Santi Resort & Spa is set in beautiful grounds with the soothing sounds of running water never far away - it's a wonderfully relaxing experience. The rooms are large and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. As others have said, it's 15 minutes from Luang Prabang centre but there's a free shuttle bus that runs regularly to and from....

The property is about a 15 minute ride from downtown Luang Prabang (the hotel does run a reasonably regular shuttle service for free) which is a little inconvenient, but the relaxed setting in beautiful grounds made it worthwhile for us for a few days. We slept really well while staying here as it is so quiet and peaceful. The room...

We did like this hotel but the staff in general & the chef in particular need to go on a training course as our stay could have been much more enjoyable were staff more attentive & the quality & quantity of the food improved! The breakfast was available till 10am but many items were not available as early as 8.30....

This was our second stay here and we do like it. Some things have been improved over the past 8 years- the paths between the restaurant/pool/ bedrooms are lock- block now instead of wood and they are better lit and also there are now safes in the the rooms (before there was only safe deposits at the reception) Rooms havent...

The setting and location were perfect but the standard of the hotel was very poor---they have alot to learn about running a hotel---most people went into town to eat in the evening as the hotel's food was very mediocre and expensive.Rooms adequate but clean and I also must say they should remove the word 'spa' as it is no more...

We stayed here for 4 days with a group of 20...first night after a lot of travelling we needed a well earned shower about 6:30pm...no hot water...after complaining they sent someone to check about 8ish....water by then was warm so staff said there wasnt a problem...not the best way to solve a problem that all the guests had found out...

This is a rustic hotel set in lovely grounds. We were "upgraded" to a junior suite in block 7. It was a little dated but matched the overall look of the resort. There was black mould in the shower and the fittings leaked. The bath also leaked and I only found out when I reached down to pick up my...

After being in Cambodia and Vietnam for a couple of weeks, Luang Prabang, Laos was "heaven". Set in a luminous tropical mountain range, Luang Prabang is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage listed town. The Santi Resort & Spa is owned by the Princess, who now lives in town. The Resort is out of town, but a free shuttle bus ensures...

We were part of a small tour group that stayed here for 3 nights. I enjoyed this hotel very much, it is in a beautiful setting, and is quiet and relaxed. The good sized room was beautiful, and clean. The breakfast was very good, as was the one dinner we had while there. It is a little out of town,...
