The staff that work here are among the rudest I have come across in all my travels in Laos. They have very poor english and do not try to communicate effectively at all!! The rooms were only OK at best. They do not clean the rooms every night during your stay, they simply just redo the beds. They often forgot...

We booked it because there was nothing closer within our budget. Guesthouse is still pretty expensive for what you get (164k kip per night) also considering the location, but I guess Luang Prabang is quite expensive compared to northern laos. It's off the road so it's really quiet. Owner does not have much interaction, when we arrived he checked the...

Nice clean place, affordable rates. Close to the center, 10 minutes to the river and the night market. Free coffee, tea and bananas, free water. Wifi is slow. But a 5gb card is cheap, so no need for the lame wifi. also its a quiet place, no noises, close to the oldest temple...

This place is located at bit of a hike from the downtown area and down a very muddy road. It was expensive for what we got. The Wifi didn't work well in the room. The lady at the desk was less than enthusiastic. We moved the next night to a cheaper place and nicer and 1 minute from the Mekong

A Tee Guesthouse is placed at southern part of Luang Prabang. One may think this place is quite far from downtown. however, as a enjoy-walking-traveler, the distance was not a serious problem. Because of the distance, it was very calm and quiet. Plus, you could enjoy the river view when you walk to the downtown across the road. Most of...

It took a while to find but when we did the room was ok in terms of cleanliness it was just really hot as there is no working a/c. No staff interaction as they didn't speak much English. I probably wouldn't stay here again but it's ok for a backpackers budget! I would recommend getting booking the tour to the...

It was clean, quiet and nice. There was a hot shower, air con and a fan, the bed was nice. This was absolutely the money's worth but then again it wasn't anything extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this if you're on a budget. Only 6 minutes walk from the cafe where they show movies at night.

my friend and I arrived in Luang Prabang after two days on the slow boat. we didn't book ahead because we just wanted to talk around and pick whichever one we liked. unfortunately we didn't realize it was still Chinese New Year and literally everything was booked. we searched for 1-2 hours for anything under $100 a night (our nightly...

Don't book here when you don't speak Laos or Thai, you will have a difficult time communicating! I was lucky enough that my girlfriend is Thai and can understand the Laos language, but even that made it not a friendly experience. It is strange that someone running a guesthouse is so unfriendly. Maybe I'm spoiled with the kindness of Thai...

I'm not sure of the other places in this lowish price range where you can make reservations via booking/agoda; but from the prolificness of the guest houses, I can guess there are many that you can find on your own. The room was sufficient size, clean, air-conditioned, etc. The location is near to some shops and restaurants and a temple....
