This is in the back-packer area and I thought that it had a nice vibe to it. It is close to the night market. Rooms are big enough with air-con, a bit musty perhaps, but clean with access directly on to a balcony. Breakfast limited to (help-yourself) coffee and bananas. At 120K in November I thought that this was a... More

We stayed here six nights in May 2016. We paid 100,000 kip/night. It was a wonderful experience and the owner is a very nice man. We had a clean, bright room with a balcony. The biggest, comfiest bed we've had so far! The location is perfect, it is on a quiet little side street, very close to the night market.... More

Nice, clean and very quiet. For an amazing price. Close to nightmarket and "restaurant market". Owner speaks good English and is helpfull. Book a room with a balcony and you will be very happy here. Thing missing is a fridge in the room.

We were so happy here, we stayed much longer than planned. We had a double room with a balcony which was perfect. The bed was incredible comfortable, firm but not hard and the linen was crispy white. There is free tea and coffee making facilities and fresh fruit and bottled water everyday. The owner and his staff were very polite... More

We ended up at Somjith based on a good review from Travelfish. Stayed 4 nights in an upper corner room with double bed, a/c, a fan, and private bathroom. The decor was pretty nice (lots of dark wood) and room was generally clean, though I wasn't a big fan of the bathroom. The room and the bathroom got a bit... More

Best bed we've slept in since being in South East Asia for 4 months! Nice clean rooms, balcony for the top floor rooms! Free coffee, tea, bananas, cold drinking water! On a quiet street 2 mins walk to night market area! Pretty crap wifi. 120,000k good value for Laos standards!

We arrived in Luang Prabang at the end of the festival and were dismayed to find every guesthouse, including this one totally full. The owner at Somjith was really helpful and urged us to come back the next day when he would have a room. I'm so glad we did! After a night in a horrible dive we came here... More

Clean, modern room with good ensuite, zircon, and International TV - in very good location for old town, night market, river etc. Owner most helpful and speaks very good English. Quiet soi away from main street.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood, just a two-minute walk from the Mekong river. It's also close to the night market and all the cafes and restaurants. The rooms are very cosy with wooden floor and furniture. There is AC, a TV and a private bathroom with a hot shower - we stayed in a room downstairs. Outside... More

The place is very nice, located where there are lots of other guesthouses and hostels. From the outside it looks very nice and the inside is also very clean, all in dark wood. The bathrooms are nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downside was that I had a huge cockroach in my room which walked up... More

“- The front room on the upper floor is best - with balcony and the view is nice. - We went there in the low season without reservation, and got our front room for usd10. So might be cheaper to walk in rather then to pre-book in the low season. - From here if you walk down to the riverside, there is an old lady renting bikes, she's nice and can bargain a bit.”
