The Five Palm Jumeirah Dubai is renowned for its lively atmosphere, with guests enjoying energetic pool parties set against a stunning beachfront backdrop. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, and while the luxurious amenities are generally appreciated, opinions on value and service quality are mixed.
Some guests have called out the hotel for its overpriced services and inconsistent staff responsiveness. Room experiences also vary, with praise for cleanliness and views but some dissatisfaction with maintenance and booking discrepancies.

Detailed Reviews
We were desperately in need of a holiday and spontaneously decided on a ‘staycation’ for a couple of days close by. Initially we were quite apprehensive about Five palm because of its reputation as a party hotel (we were worried about social distancing).
In the end the ‘stay and dine’ offer seemed too good to pass up, and it was a very convenient way for us to have a holiday feeling without driving too far away, so we booked for the weekend,
The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are spotless and well decorated, from the first day the staff were attentive and helpful as I asked for a room with a better view and they obliged immediately and moved us to a much better room (in the same booking class, not an upgrade). I would definitely recommend booking the sea view room, the view of the beach, city skyline and the hotel is lovely, and you will get more credit at the hotel in any case.
The pool is very lively, but the beach was relaxing and there is a second smaller pool on the beach which is much quieter. We spent the morning at the social pool which was fun! We were given great service by George and Neelam. If you are concerned about being careful due to Covid 19 I would recommend going to the pool early as it got very busy in the afternoon- they have ‘social distancing monitors’ but there were a lot of people.
The restaurants are so good! We tried almost all of them (which also meant we went over our credit). The prices are high, as you would expect from a five star hotel in Dubai, so we did end up paying more as our credit ran out, however it was worth it! Top quality everywhere and we especially enjoyed Praia where Isaac served us!
One of the best features overall is that the hotel has a 24hr WhatsApp concierge that you can contact at anytime - I found this super easy and helpful and used it to book dinner reservation and ask questions quickly.
We’re already considering our next staycation here!

My friends booked us a surprise birthday staycation at the Five hotel palm Jumeirah end of May and just wow! From the moment we walked in we were looked after by their team to the second we left. On arrival service was great to check in, we had 2 room upgrades to sea view and rooms were sparkling clean and sanitized which gave us comfort during covid. Anything we asked for to the room their team were very attentive and delivered within 30 mins which considering how fully booked the hotel was, this was great service. They even send singing waiters to my room delivering a lovely and tasty birthday cake with a bottle of Prosecco which was such a special touch and not to mention the chocolates engraved with my picture and a pillow on the bed engraved with my name on. This was amazing treatment. We dined at the penthouse and service was great, Su who was beautiful and social distancing was safe too with lovely music for an enjoyable evening. Did I mention that our room rate was fully redeemable on f&b which made it even better! We stayed at the beach on the following day with beds spaced apart and the team serving on the beach done a great job working in such heat.. water lovely and clear with clean towels. The venue was clean presentable As always and the staff couldn’t do enough to make my birthday stay amazing! I will most certainly be back!
I would like to say a special thanks to Karanbir and Shibin for their outstanding level of service to us and the greet from the room on our last stay was just wonderful.
Thank you so much to the Five Hotel.. we will most certainly be back to our favorite hotel and team ❤️

We spent 2 nights at the hotel and availed the very attractive offer for May/June 2020. For a 5 star hotel, it was great! The staycation was exactly what we needed after the lockdown. The check in process was smooth and we were happy to see that staff were regulating the safe spaces between people. The room was great! Clean and with a wonderful view. We got delivered to the room everything we asked for and quick. Even a softer pillow. The bed is super comfortable! And I loved the fact that there are no single use toiletries so it is environmental friendly. There was no buffet for breakfast to adhere to social distancing regulations, we had delicious breakfast in our room on the balcony. The beach is clean and it was nice to see that sun beds were at least 2m away from each other. All staff, everywhere, was wearing a mask and gloves at all times. Guests wear masks at all times too, except on the beach or when eating at the restaurant. We loved the food at the Cinque Italian restaurant, but the food at Maiden Shanghai was superb! We celebrated a birthday there and we also got complementary cake, which was a nice touch. All in all, we had a feeling we were on vacation and rested very well. Thank you Five hotel for your great efforts.

We got married at Five in 2018, came to stay in 2019 and enjoyed both visits. We decided to visit again and as it’s during Covid we wanted to go somewhere trusted.
We chose luxury sea view and were shown to room 10920. The room was dirty with finger prints and dust everywhere and the room was damaged, broken hinges, water damage, tv hanging off the wall and shampoo stains on the bed.
We called and complained and were moved to room 10712, the room was still dirty so they had to clean it which took more than 1 hour. In total we wasted more than 2 hours to enjoy our stay.
The rooms used to have nice toiletries, however now use rituals (bottles screwed to the wall by the sink and shower, not the bath).
We shrugged off the bad vibe and thought to quickly go to the pool before it closed in 30 minutes at 7! We enjoyed a lovely mock tail at beach deck and the server was very sweet.
We came to the hotel after a long hectic week and decided to rest in the room and order in, to get an early night to wake up and enjoy the pool and beach the next day, however that did not happen. After penthouse closed, people came back to their rooms were shouting in the corridor, slamming doors, moving furniture and playing loud music till 5am!
This ruined our stay and our weekend because we were exhausted. We complained to front desk at check out and they apologized and said we however didn’t receive any other complaints!! They offered us free lunch as compensation which we appreciated, however I do not recommend the food at blvd and I basically filled myself on iced coffee.
I have left reviews for the restaurants on Zomato.
In summary the hotel needs maintenance and needs to be upgraded.

I travel a lot and have stayed in close to 100 other hotels in the past, some 5 star and some with a lesser ranking and I have never had an experience like the one in five palm Jumeirah. I booked a room for two nights here and from start to finish everything was bad.
Check in opened at 15:00 and I checked in at 15:40 but my room was not ready yet, I was told to take a seat and wait and that they would call me within 40 mins when it’s ready. An hour and a half later I still received no call so went and asked them again. Eventually I got my room and went to the bar by the beach only to be disappointed again as there were no tables available and waiting lists for everywhere so I sat on the beach and tried to order a drink and they wouldn’t serve alcohol there for some strange reason. After multiple attempts to order food and beverages in all available outlets I decided to leave the hotel and go somewhere else altogether to eat/drink. The next day I went to have breakfast, the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever come across as the menu was extremely limited and portions were tiny. I spent the early afternoon on the beach and ordered a 1.5 litre bottle of still water and a can of Diet Coke and was charged AED 54 for it which is a total rip off. Later on I ordered room service which you must pay for there immediately unless you pre purchase room credit - something I’ve never come across before and have ordered room service in close to 100 different hotels in the past as I travel a lot. Nobody came to clean my room either until much later in the evening which was also a little bit annoying.
With regards to the room, it was light and spacious but the bathroom smelt funny and the view from my balcony was terrible and there was too much noise.
Overall the hotel looks quite nice but the service and experience was dreadful, I felt the staff didn’t care about the fact I was a guest there I really felt like an unwelcome passerby that walked in off the street. There’s too many people and not enough hotel F&B outlets to facilitate. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel especially if you’re looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. I almost feel cheated that I payed to be there. It most certainly shouldn’t be considered as a 5 start hotel.

The service everywhere in this hotel is absolutely awful. To get served around the pool takes forever, and to even be given a towel to sit down at the beach takes so long - so good luck getting any food/drinks ordered within an hour of sitting down. They even automatically include a service charge even though most the time you have to get up and find someone to order.
There were drunk people everywhere all hours of the day, not particularly nice to go down to the gym in the morning and find people drunk in the lobby from the night before. There are parties constantly, and often you can hear three different types of music/DJs playing while sitting in one spot. We may as well have been in Ibiza.
The hotel and views are beautiful, and the rooms are cleaned well. But that’s the only good parts. I would expect the rooms to be cleaned well when a 10% service charge is automatically included.
There is no way this can be classed as a 5 star hotel. Save your money and stay elsewhere for half the price and have a much nicer experience!

LIKES:
The room was big with big TV.
Family pool is great and cozy. Pool staff is also nice and professional.
DISLIKES:
The main entrance was a bit chaotic and too crowded with guests mixed with personnel. Check-in was rather slow, and we also ended up not properly directed to the correct elevators.
The room was really poorly designed.
There were stains on the back soft support of the bed.
Bathroom essentials are attached to the walls as if it is a 25€/night bed and breakfast hotel.
The room was not cosy at all.. without any carpets and with too much of space not properly used.
The room was clearly missing comfortable sitting furniture.
Control of room light is really weird.
Entrance to the balcony is poorly designed, so each time you have to struggle with all the curtains and be careful not to drive into the weird wall divider when coming back to the room.
The rooms were missing essential information, so we had to call guest service for basic questions.
Noise from slamming doors of other rooms on the floor was really annoying.
After a couple of hours that we’ve arrived, there were cleaning crew who disturbed us because they were going to clean the windows (for what we of course never asked).
Main pool (so-called social pool) is too crowded with weird lounger arrangement.

We booked the FIVE Palm on the "stay and dine" deal that allowed us to redeem our room rate against food and drink at the hotel. The speed of the service on the beach, at dinner and at breakfast was such that it was virtually impossible to make the most of this offer. The wait time for food was at best 1.5 hours (on the beach), and at worst 2.5 hours (breakfast). When the breakfast eventually came, all of the orders were wrong and two out of four at our table did not receive part of their meal. It took 2 hours to even be served coffees.
When we checked out we asked how much credit we had left on the room and were told three different amounts. Upon requesting a copy of the receipt, we realised all sorts of additional items had been charged to our room. We paid a service charge for "in-room dining" (we didn't have any in-room dining), we were charged for 5 dinners where we had only 3 and there were multiple charges for food and drink on the beach that did not add up to what we had ordered. In the unlikely event I visited this hotel again, it is clearly necessary to keep copies of your receipts as there appears to be an issue at the hotel with feeding the correct amounts through to the right room.

The stay here was awful, we payed a lot for this villa and yet they still demanded more money for the ‘security deposit’. When we didn’t pay they refused to help us with anything, like cleaning the villa or providing us with tissues or complementary water bottles. The private pool is definitely not private, sure we are the only ones using it but it was ‘out in the open’ in the sense that everyone was able to see us. The staff were horrible, they kept asking us for money, the amount of money for the security deposit kept increasing with every different staff. One staff even came in and made us write a good review about the villa and himself when we only were there for about an hour. The first day here the staff wouldnt let us alone until the evening. I hated the stay here and i will rate this a 2/10. Not recommending it to anyone and will NEVER book again.

Myself and family are currently staying at this obnoxious and pretentious hotel! Not only are the majority of people staying here ridiculously vain and only here for a photo opportunity but the majority of staff have taken the same attitude also. We were unaware of the party reputation this hotel has however at the time of booking we seen there was a children’s pool and “kids club” presuming families were welcome! We are also not a “boring” family, we like to socialise etc and have a drink ourselves but have been made to feel like aliens from out of space! If you are up early in the morning for breakfast you are greeted to a different vibe where you feel “normal” again, breakfast service was good and it is easy to get a sun lounger next to the pool or on the beach! The children can play in the pool and the days are very relaxing until 2-3pm! At 2pm the place becomes very busy and from observing many are not hotel guests just walk ins from the streets coming in their droves for a photo by the pool! This is where the staff begin to monitor the hotel guests children, telling them to be quiet whilst playing and that they should not be in the swimming pool as it is not for children! At no point earlier on in the day have we been told this and there are no signs to say adults only! As a family of 4 we paid over 9000 British pounds to stay here for 10 nights bed and breakfast and the staff favour walk in randoms over holiday guests to use the hotel facilities...Disgusting! The first morning we arrived due to the time difference we went for breakfast late maybe 10:45, avoid this time as this is when the hang overs start to emerge and decide to eat before closing at 11! We have been stopped by staff inside the hotel before using the lifts to go to our room asking if we are staying in the hotel! You can not use the lifts without your room key so this is not a security check this is a “you do not fit in here” check! The beach bar “Beach by five” has terrible service! We had to ask 4/5 times every time we wanted a drink or something to eat and when our meal arrived we weren’t given any cutlery so asked again 4/5 times! Cutlery never came so we ate with our hands, the bill was over £200! The room we have is nice with a lovely view however as a family of 4 we have asked every day for 4 clean towels but only receive 3! Laundry seems to be a problem as the children had a late night swim the first day we got here and when we asked for clean beach towels we were told there was no more and this service had stopped! We informed staff we were hotel guests and would have to take the children through reception soaken wet to which they shrugged their shoulders! I never write reviews but feel families must be warned before wasting their time and money on this hotel! This hotel should be advertised as adults only.
