Location – Connected to one of the largest mall in the world, Mall of the Emirates, this property offers sheltered direct access to shops and F&B enough to tire out even elephant legs and was the sole reason why I picked this spot amongst its many other glitzier competition.
Room – My Grand Deluxe room, 1210, at 35SqM, turned out to be a very nice space – all renovated and very much a modern Sheraton with the classy design and soothing color tones. A far but welcomed departure from its former self. Housekeeping definitely made an impression with the daily towel animal designs, careful covering of my opened water jug, and remembering my request for extra vanity kits.
Club Lounge – the Sheraton Club located on level 22 was undergoing renovations during my stay. The property was upfront about this and states this clearly on their website so I knew to moderate my expectations. But of course still nonetheless bummed about not being able to experience 100% – so if you are paying for club access, DON’T do it during this period!
As a replacement, Evening Cocktails from 6-8pm is served at Besh Turkish Restaurant and sees a a simple set up of hot food options, cheeses, fruits, and desserts. Drinks wise, I saw 2x white, 2x red, beers, and a sparkling wine option. Otherwise, all day refreshments is hosted at a small space located beside the front desks.
Breakfast at Besh is a varied affair of multiple food options which should please most people. I loved the strong coffee and the option of Karak tea which I think is a spiced middle eastern tea of sorts.
Fitness Centre located on level 24 is also newly refurnished and very well equipped.
In summary, major love for the new room, its location, but with regrets about thin bedroom slippers and cover sheets.

Information about construction happening in the hotel due to renovations was not made known during the booking process. Construction noise and dust evident throughout the public areas. Taxi found it hard to find the entrance of the hotel as it was not clearly signed. Only 2 out of 4 guest lifts were working and during peak hours, there is a queue up to 15 minutes to get the lift. Also beware of the bellmen/doormen trying to push the in-house limousine instead of the normal Dubai taxis. They charge a massive premium over the normal taxis which is more than adequate for the transportation needs. Only good thing is the room housekeeping service which was brilliant and noticed small things like the replenishing of water and coffee for our needs.

Room service attendant Harvey Singh was so helpful, polite and made an extra effort to make sure that I had everything I needed! Everything was spick and span, I was working in the room & he just swooped in and out, made sure I wasn’t disturbed and did his job in the quietest and most efficient manner. Overall I have to say that this is one of the most well facilated hotels that we have ever stayed with, throughout the world. Although, whilst the facilities are world class, it is your employees that set standards beyond expectation, and truly embrace the essence of what quality guest services are all about in the hospitality industry. Those worthy of exceptional Lijin in Concierge, who on numerous occassions, sort out information necessary for us to be be certain of transfers and pick ups for previously paid services outside of the hotel. Thank you so much Lijin. Also, we will never forget Sami, who is the brightest light of your Reception area, and not only offers the gifts of coffee and dates each day, but the warmest of welcomes whenever he sees you in the reception area. You are a special human being Sami, so thank you for making our stay one of the most memorable. One other mention must go to Fare (if I have spelt this incorrectly, I sincerely apologise), who serves the morning breakfast guests with a wonderfully positive spririt every day. What an asset Fare is to your organisation and you should be proud of her and in fact all of the restaurant staff, who prepare the most delicious dishes and breakfast treats that I have ever tasted. I will finish with one very small criticism...your front office Reception employees should learn from the rest of their colleagues and try to smile and be happy about the service they are delivering. We truly believe that we will return to Dubai one day, and there is only one choice that we would make in booking our accommodation, and that is the Sheraton, Mall of Emirates. This is my third review for my seventh stay in this hotel.
I am writing this review to note that the hotel rooms have been beautifully refurbished to be more modern and high end. The wooden floor is amazing. A nespresso machine has been added along with the normal tea and coffee facilities, and the minibar quality has been upgraded.
The bathroom now has a walk-in shower instead of the outdated tub and its glass wall has been permanently frosted so it’s now private and not exposed like before.
The lobby and the public areas are still undergoing refurbishment which will hopefully finish within this year as confirmed by one of the staff.
Amazing hotel, amazing staff and amazing location as always. Will always be my top choice in Dubai. Special thanks to Ramadan and Sami.

I had Emelia and Veer who kept my room clean my pillows fluffed and were able to anticipate my every need, they even decorated my room for my Birthday. I love Emelia, her spirit is warm and extremely inviting, and her smile is so genuine. The hotel is nice but Emilia and Veer made it the BEST!!!!
