Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

At Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai, many guests enjoy the hotel's pleasant atmosphere, which strikes a balance between cozy and family-friendly, with a touch of liveliness. The location garners mixed reviews; it's appreciated for its beach proximity yet some find it inconveniently distant from city attractions and note nearby construction. While the family-oriented amenities like heated pools and water slides are a hit, issues with overcrowding and maintenance have been pointed out.
Service is generally applauded for being attentive, especially to families, though some guests have encountered slow service. Rooms are recognized for their cleanliness and space, yet some travelers criticize the noise levels and dated decor, suggesting a need for more child-friendly features. Despite the high marks for cleanliness across the resort, the value proposition is diminished for some due to additional costs for certain services.

Hotel's Favourite
We recently spent 10 days at this hotel and what can I say.. It was great! :)
I want to specially thank whole team of ladies and gentlemen at Mirage Family lounge - all of our mornings with slow breakfast were amazing and relaxing (though we were with a fussy 4 months old baby in addition to active 4 year old :) ), but everybody working there were so friendly and helpful. We were always looking forward to afternoon tea and snacks or evening cocktails break. To have access to this lounge via AI package was a huge advantage to us.
Yes, hotel is not far away from airport and planes are flying extremely often and low over the hotel, but somehow we did not find this too disturbing, it was even nice to look at planes so low. We have read comments before that hotel is not in any walking distance to the city but it was not a problem for us also as we wanted lazy holiday (our 4th time in Dubai), the only place we went was Legoland and it took 1 hour with Uber, it was ok.
Warm water in pools - wow wow wow, kids did not want to get out ever, neither did we.
Options of food were really good, plenty of different dishes to choose from. Can’t complain at all! Once we found out that it was possible to order food and drinks from Sands beach by family pool it helped a lot to feed a hungry 4 years old “dragon” who did not want to get out of pool :))
Second special thanks go to “Sheesh” restaurant and Diana! Extremely nice dinners we had there and now I think Arabian food is our favourite one :) (though at first we thought it might not be for us and my oh my how wrong we were). Diana, you are so sweet and so great with kids, it was always nice to meet you, talk to you, it felt like you are taking care of us like your family members rather than hotel guests. Thank you for that!
Spa is really worth visiting, I left a separate review.
Room cleaning was done on regular basis, not a single time we had to call and request to clean a room (we had experience like that at some of 5 star hotels in Europe when it was afternoon and room was empty all day long from early morning but nothing was cleaned). So high five for this perfect system of this hotel.
The only negative side and the reason we probably won’t be coming back to this hotel - the nationality and attitude of majority of guests at this hotel (in the days we were having holidays). Acting rude, basically not speaking a word of English, leaving kids without supervision both in pools and elevators (despite the fact that it is not allowed to use elevator for kids without a grown up) - created a chaotic situations. Water guns in pools were splashed to other guests despite lifeguards trying to explain that this shouldn’t be done, impossible to get into elevator because some kids just riding up and down in elevators, adults grabbing chairs from our table in dinner time (restaurant in G level) without asking if it can be taken etc. Did not like that but I guess hotel can’t do much about it.
To sum up - thank you Centara Mirage for making our holidays enjoyable :)

We stayed a week at this new hotel that had only been open a few weeks, but you would never have guessed that.
On arrival the staff were welcoming and attentive with our bags. We had the keys to our room early and were allowed to go to the all inclusive breakfast, even escorted to a table. There is a comfortable room you can use for showering and resting when you arrive and leave, something many other hotels don't offer.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff are working around the clock to clean all public areas constantly, many thanks to all of them for making us feel so safe while we were there. Food in the buffet is constantly replenished and staff are attentive bringing drinks or cutlery.
There is a plentiful selection of food in the buffet all day, as well as some nice dishes at the beach bar. Yes we struggled to book the restaurants, but we didn't really need to. For families the buffet has a big selection.
The pool area is great for families, yes it's shaded but you are so grateful for that when the temperature is mid 30's! The beach has sun all day, with beautiful day beds and cabanas. Sun beds can be hard to find later in the day, but you just ask the staff and they will help you find some. You can hire kayaks and paddleboards which are great fun in the beautifully warm sea. There is so much fun at the pool for kids. Water slides, lazy river, splash pad, my kids happily played there all day, everyday. The kids clubs look great too, but they didn't even make it there as the pool was too much fun. Thank you to Marc who manages the recreation team for being so warm and welcoming to us.
The rooms are huge with huge beds, and cleaned daily. Nice modern feel and good air con.
If you're considering this hotel and looking for great family fun and good value I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you to all the staff there who work so hard, despite some guests who appear very rude and hard to please!

Great family oriented Thai hotel in Dubai. The location on the beach is perfect, heated pools were welcome in February as the weather was not super hot, not too far from town either. Takes about 30mins to Dubai Mall area. The rooms are quite basic. Strange thing is a lack of wardrobe. There is a rail to hang your clothes on - bring more hangers :) we were consistently getting 2 towels for 4 people despite of calling reception every day. Food variety is good, def try breakfast at the rooftop restaurant! Service is quite shocking but if anything it makes the holiday more entertaining, it is so bad that you have to laugh about it! :)) shout out to Nita in the coffee shop, who found my RayBans, handed them in and helped me locate them. She is switched on, efficient and a great communicator, she should be in charge of customer service!!

So far we have only been here two days so I will adjust or amend this review after our full stay.
Positives are of course the children's facilities. Pool, slides, beach etc all great.
The negatives....despite being in a family room we are not allowed in the family lounge at all...apparantly it is for suite holders only yet they use this consistently on their websiteas a benefit for anyone with a family with no caveat on usage. Our travel agent phoned prior to booking and was told it was open to all families subject to booking and we always try to find a quieter option for dining for our son as he doesn't like loud noise. 5 staff has said we can use it and the one on the door says we can't so don't believe all the benefits that they say on the website of staying with family as it is false advertising.
We arrived early and our luggage was put away..securely we thought until we realised it was in a room that all and sundry had access to so beware not to leave anything of worth in there.
Severe lack of taxis so leave with loads of time as you could be waiting an hour for a taxi. As it is a new hotel is a fairly desolate place they need an incentive to attract taxis here until other things start opening up.
Food so far has been poor...all seems cold and hygiene not good bearing in mind we are still covid aware. Other places I have been to during covid have staff serving food which is so much more hygienic than probably 60 people an hour touching the same serving spoon.
Very noisy with plane traffic but was expecting this although much louder than when I once stayed at an airport hotel here.
So far a disappointment and the use of the family lounge needs to be made much clearer on the website and to staff as at the moment is is purposely telling you of a perk to families that only applies to a minority. Even at the entrance there is nothing to say it is for exclusive use of suites only and it seems staff are no wiser than me.

This place is like having your holiday on a cruise ship. First of all, when we were there the place was packed solid so this meant lining up for everything, including all your meals. Most folks wait patiently in line for up to half an hour, but others just push in front and occupy empty tables with no regard for others and the staff are helpless in asking them to join the line. The food in the restaurants is like eating institutional food; mass-produced and not very good at all, not to mention massively overpriced. We paid 45 Dirhams for a lousy plate of pasta with butter for my daughter. I would recommend room service as it’s much better quality and less expensive. While you're enjoying your room service in pretty decent-sized rooms, and clean too boot, you can enjoy the sound of aircraft taking off from DXB. They fail to mention that Deira is right under this flight path. DXB is also very busy in the early morning hours so you'll hear planes taking off all night long. Oh, I forgot to mention...the Thai food is nothing to write home about either even though it's a Thai hotel chain.
The facilities also do not accommodate all the guests very comfortably. For example, people line up frantically at the towel station as early as 7:30 am in order to get a lounger or cabana by one of the pools that only open at 8 am. People claim their loungers by lying down their towels only to disappear again. If you're a late riser or don't fancy lining up and competing for a decent bed by the pool you'll end up on the far end of the beach for the day. I would also not recommend getting the airport pick up since the hotel charges you 140 Dirhams for a 40 Dirham cab ride. We canceled our airport pick-up because of this cost but the driver appeared at the airport anyway so communication with the hotel wasn’t that great either. The staff is pretty wonderful and I felt sorry for many of them. They get verbally abused by frustrated guests and seem overly stressed. The spa was amazing though and they had some excellent deals going while we were there. I enjoyed a Thai massage that was incredible. Once you deal with the lines and rude guests and settle into the lazy river and the other pools, and if you can ignore the gathering masses, your kids will love their time there. My daughter was oblivious to the crowds and she loved the swimming pools and slides and of course the lazy river. So if you’re a patient person, and have a family who will enjoy the facilities, and if you don't mind getting ripped off, well then this is the place for you.

Dear Adam K, Thank you very much for your feedback. It was our pleasure welcoming you and your family and hearing that our team members effort recognized by you is very encouraging. We are glad hearing that you had amazing experience with our Spa Cenvaree, originally from Thailand. We are truly sorry to hear that you may had challenges during the stay and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Apart from our Main restaurant, Suan Bua (Thai and International). Several dining destinations are always more than happy to welcome you to enjoy the meal i.e. Uno Mas (Argentinian grill), Sheesh (Lebanese) and Sands (international). We understand from you that the pasta with cheese was ordered. We are truly sorry if there was miscommunication. Please rest assured that the kids menu are always available and the team are always more than happy to assist you. Apart from enjoying the day around the family pool. Plenty of sunbed, couple and family cabanas are also available at our water park and extensive beach front at your convenience. Thank you once again for your recommendations and we sincerely hope having the chance to welcoming you and your family back again. With best regards, Kanokwan Chamchoy Quality Manager

A brief overview of my stay in this resort
Pros
1. Defiantly good if you have kids the areas are very child friendly with loads for them to do and play.
2. Great verity of food there are 4 restaurants you can go too you won’t get bored.
3. Rooms are really clean and spacious and if you opt for the sea view this is defiantly worth it the view is incredible my photos are from my balcony on the second floor
4. The pools are kept clean and a good temperature to keep you cool with life guards at every station too.
5. Really good amenities for adults too including a spa (which I’m yet to visit) and the gym which has all the latest gear and large too perfect to keep you going on your holiday.
6. The beach is private and warm sand all the way too and very clean. There is an option to hire pedal boat etc too.
Cons
1. Animation is boring best show is the fire show however the rest is not worth attending. The kids love the outdoor blow up cinema other than that it’s create your own fun.
2. The location is a bit away if your here wanting to explore defiantly rent a car it will save you a fortune from using cabs. If you don’t wish to drive I would suggest using Uber to get around.
3. The hotel is also in the flight path when your in your room you don’t notice anything however when your outside you can hear them pass. And frequently too.
4. The shisha lounge that is advertised is pricy compared to UK and also can’t really call it a shisha lounge it’s a man and a wooden desk with a few day loungers thrown about on a terrace at the back of sheesh restaurant.
5. From check in no one really explains what the all inclusive means I still don’t know 100% but speaking with many brits it sounds better than what you can see before booking as you are given menus which are custom made for all inclusive when you look online it sounds like you have to keep paying extra but that’s not the case. I think that’s just a ploy to get you to book the gold which is a lot of extra £££. However it would have been great at checking to know what you can and can’t do extra.
6. There is an adults only area which is great to get away from the busy environment however the pool is so hot no one gets in it probably why there is always space there.
Feel free to comment if you have any questions its always difficult to book a far destination and get it right the more insight you can have the better.

We took a large group that inlcuded families, couples and singles for a conference. It was a great option for our group and the resort is VERY family friendly, food options are great and the staff is very accommodating. I would have liked to have the full board include drinks as that adds up quickly but if you get large bottles of water for the table it is more affordable than individual sodas. The facilities are very clean and the staff works incredibly hard all day making sure wet areas are mopped and dining/buffet areas are cleaned at each turn. We used the conference facility and were impressed by the attention to detail from Sarun and his team. The event managers, Manny and Shilpi, were exceptional!! And so easy to work with as we had many changes throughout the planning process. Some of the rooms can be a tight squeeze for larger families but they all enjoyed the bunk beds. The Camp Safari was managed by an exceptional staff who were very friendly and helpful with all kiddos we brought in to play in the indoor facility. The location can be challenging sometimes to get uber or taxis to return you to the resort but if you know when the taxis have shift changes it helps to know when taxis will be able to take you to resort from downtown. Sheesh and the staff there were VERY friendly, Ahmjed and his staff were wonderful to our group and always brought us things we needed or asked for promplty. The adult pools was a nice retreat for couples and singles and provided a good atmosphere for chatting and retreat. Overall, this a great conference resort to bring families and the staff was the brighest part of our stay because they were incredibly attentive to our needs and the conference break spreads were AMAZING. Thank you all for a memorable stay!! We enjoyed it.

This is our second visit to the Centara, our first being the opening weekend in October 2021.
There were some teething issues back in October and I’m afraid they are still there to a certain extent. The check in process was delayed as one of the front staff couldn’t do the process, so we had to wait until someone was available.
The room was great for our purpose: a king sized bed and bunk bed for the boys. We weren’t happy with the height of the top bunk for our 3 year old, so there was plenty of space to put the top mattress on the floor beside the bottom bunk. Bathroom was clean and tidy. It’s difficult to put the bath taps on as the screen doesn’t move so bathing the kids was awkward but totally manageable. Room is a great family sized room. Room cleaning varies with time it is cleaned even when the please clean notice is put on the door but when it was cleaned we couldn’t fault it.
The best part for our 2 and 3 year olds is the Mirage Family lounge. You have to put extra to access it, but it is by far the best kids area we’ve seen. There are always staff on hand to play with the kids although they weren’t there as often as they had been in our first visit. The boys loved it. They also serve all day drinks and breakfast, afternoon tea and evening nibbles. We found it strange that you can’t order food from other restaurants in the hotel to the lounge and pay separately, given that it’s a family area or indeed have a service in which food can be ordered and paid for separately. Maggie, in the family lounge, who is part of the kids entertainment, team was amazing. My little boy remembered her from last time and was delighted to see her. Also, Nita in the lounge was great with service too. We couldn’t fault them.
Family pool is great and heated. Lazy river is cold and the flumes too. The unfortunate part is that most of the wet areas (apart from the beach) is shaded most of the day in the winter so the boys were cold for some of the day.
The bouncy castle and inflatable area on the beach are a great extra.
We didn’t use the kids club but have heard good things about it.
We enjoyed the weekend and will be back in the future.

Had a lovely stay!
beds were extremely comfortable and my 2 children slept fine on the sofa bed that was perfect for a 7 and 10 year old. We had a city view room as we don't spend much time in there so thought it was pointless upgrading to a sea view and found these rooms to be really quiet at night, slightly noisy with it being in dxb flight path but it honestly didn't bother us.The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and plenty of water left in the room.
The staff are fantastic and so friendly as at busy times they seem to be understaffed so can take a while for drinks to arrive once ordered, we loved breakfast in sheesh Navraj was so friendly and interactive with our children and su worked so hard always with a smile!
The food was good we could all fund something we liked and really enjoyed our night in uno Mars the steak was really tasty.
Kids loved the pool ,lazy river was cold though as mainly in the shade so think if you visit in the winter kids wetsuits might be a good idea as the splash park is also in the shade.
Unfortunately the only downside we found with this hotel is the sunbeds. You have to queue from 7am onwards to get one around the pool otherwise you won't get one beach ones all gone an hour later so no chance of a lie in on holiday! Apart from that we really enjoyed ourselves it is quite far out so taxis can add up and some are reluctant to bring you back from places as they say its too far out but obviously that's nothing to do with the hotel.
We will definitely return.

Stayed as a family with two boys ages 3 and 8. The hotel facilities are great for families and children, the boys loved the pool, lazy river, bouncy castle, slides, splash pool and football pitch. There is plenty for children throughout the day and they enjoyed some time in the kids club too. Food choice was good in the restaurant and small supplements for some extras which were worth it. Our favourite was sands bar which we ate at mostly. Breakfast served in sands, main buffet and also Sheesh restaurant so more relaxed that your usual hectic buffet. We never ate at the main buffet in 8 nights, no problems in getting reservations if required but mostly we were happy with eating early evening at sands as very relaxed. Drinks were good and plenty of choice for us, all beeers were bottled either becks, singa or Chang. Space round pool was limited as was half term so expected but plenty of room on beach in the sun. The beach pop up bars were handy for drinks. Taxi to downtown was about 20 mins and £15 and also only 15 mins from the airport too. We’ve stayed in Dubai before at the anantara the palm and grosvenor house at this hotel doesn’t have plush luxury feel that you usual get in Dubai, the rooms aren’t your typical Dubai standard and the finish to some party of the rooms is average which is a shame but still wouldn’t put the off recommending to families looking for sun holiday with great family facilities.
