Overall a fantastic stay. We arrived at 9am, check in was 1pm. Hotel was busy. As we required a twin room, it took us to 1pm to get into our room. But the wait was worth it. The fantastic check in girl gave us an upgraded top floor front view balcony room. No complaints at all. Clean, comfortable and freezing...

This is a budget friendly hotel. Close to al fahidi metro station. The atmosphere is good. The management is all desi. At one instance the waiter asked me "kya lega?" This needs to be resolved as customers should be treated with respect. The wifi kept disconnecting at some instances. Overall the hotel is good but there are somethings which should...

The room itself is not not bad, but internet late afternoon or evenings can be very slow, and very often there is no connection. Staff and management are very friendly and providing services always with a smile. Air-condition was not working properly, sometimes not at all, sometimes very cold and cannot be adjusted properly. Room could be made more sound-proof....

Did not stay at the hotel ( walked pass and decided to have a beer at the bar ). The bar on the right hand side is a meat market for African ladies ( not my taste ) so moved to the bar on the left hand side which was quiet and decent. Ordered a mutton curry ( Pakistan style...

The only good thing was that the room itself was at least clean, I believe because the housekeeping staff is efficient. Problems: The bathroom was small and in need of a complete renovation. The key to the room never did work, and we ended up having to use an actual key. It took 3 times going to the front desk...

I was recently at this hotel with a group of 35 people from India as a Tour Manager. Hotel location is very good. Right in the heart of Bur Dubai. Next to Al Fahidi metro station. Malls and restaurants are at a walking distance. 10 out of 10 for a group tour visitor. Earlier this hotel was famous for its...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
