Like every other review I can't praise Rene, Louis, Marguerite and staff enough for the 2 fabulous stays I had at Case Verde. First time was for 2 weeks and second time was for 7 weeks in Mar/Apr 2012 when I became part of the...More
The hostel is a great place to relax, the interior patio is sunny and the communal room pleasant. Beds are extremely comfortable as well. For the price, there probably isn't a better place to stay in Sucre, and I would highly recommend it.
We were supposed to stay two nights, but a flight cancellation meant we only got one night here. It's a lovely place. Rene has done a great job of fixing it up and it smells (and is) clean. That might seem like a strange comment,...More
We stayed here in feb and had a great time. Rene is the owner and went out of his way to ensure our utmost comfort. We stayed in a double room with a private ensuite, the bed was very comfortable and Rene gave us our...More

Another visitor there and I decided that the problem was more an issue of internet in Sucre rather than at Casa Verde. At certain times of the day the service everywhere gets very slow and there's some logic behind the pattern of it working and not working (like when children are let out of school) but it's a thing for sure.
Maybe another place will work better but Casa Verde is a jewel of a place to stay and I'm not too sure the internet elsewhere is going to be much better (maybe if you find a place that has it's won line). Good luck.
