An amazing place to stay and have a wedding. The inn Keeper Gerry was so kind and helpful. A true step back in time. Thanks so much for allowing us to spend our wedding night there with all our close family and friends!!

The hosts/inn keepers were amazing, interesting and warm/friendly. They were available to answer any questions whether it was about your room or the history of the house. The house was incredible and fascinating. Our stay was perfect so warm and welcoming we didn't want to leave. That was my first time staying at a b&b and now i am hooked....

Easy to find, easy check in, history about the beautiful home, a good night's sleep and breakfast ! Nice to have the main floor available for all guests. Nice touch to have a Guest kitchen open 24-7 with a coffee, yummy baked cookies, and drinks (water and soft drinks) in the frig for a small fee.

The bed and breakfast was beautiful. We had a room with a king sized bed and sitting area with a fireplace. It was very clean and cozy The only issue we had was that since it's so old the rooms are individually heated with radiators, so that was kind of tricky having to figure them all out and adjust accordingly....

I stay at the Saravilla every time I'm on the Alma area, which is at least 4 times a year. We've had our whole family stay there on occasion. It's peaceful and lovely. Gerry and Roland are excellent hosts.

Our daughter goes to college in Alma and we wanted to see her play without the late drive home. And so the search began for a hotel which pretty much turned up nothing. Somehow Saravilla popped up as an option and the reviews were pretty awesome. I'm usually skeptical of so many great reviews but they had everything that is...

Was good value. Innkeeper very nice; breakfast was great. Was nice to be in an historical site. Beautiful time of the year to be up there. Easy to fine; not far from US 127 which was great for travelling

Saravilla is a charming inn, with a pleasing breakfast and nice amenities. My only dissatisfaction was with the cleanliness (many dust bunnies in the corners of our room) and the pillows were too firm for me.

Gerry S, Owner at Saravilla Bed and Breakfast, responded to this review

Thanks for your review. I am really sorry to hear about the "dust bunnies" and we will redouble efforts to make every room spotlessly clean. We also know that different guests have different preferences for firmness and could have provided alternative and softer pillows from our linen closet if requested. We hope to see you again. Gerry and Rolando are fantastic hosts. Their home is a beautiful example of Michigan history. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is made to order, and the tea is hot. There also appear to be no ghosts despite the age of the building, so you can sleep in comfort.
