This quirky and homey B&B was delightful! It's a perfect location to the university and walking into town for restaurants & shops. Pat, the proprietor, was friendly and responsive to any and all requests. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, some with outdoor spaces and each of our bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. There were great amenities (fridge, microwave, snacks, tea, etc). The rooms could use a deep cleaning but aside from that, met all our needs. The breakfast in the morning was great (both food set- yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee) and freshly prepared eggs or quiche! The main area has different collectibles housed on the shelves. If you want a true B&B experience, this is the place!

We stayed here for a football game weekend. The positives: the location is great in terms of being right on campus and not a terribly far walk from the stadium. The folks who work there are friendly. The decor is eclectic in the public areas. Breakfast was good. The negatives: this place looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1970s--right down to the shag carpet in our room. Walls are thin so it is noisy, which isn't the best if you're trying to sleep. Our room was on the west side of the building overlooking a courtyard which was like a common area for a bunch of houses occupied by student; needless to say, there was partying directly beneath our window the night before the game and it was LOUD. The east side facing the church would be much quieter. Not sure if I'd stay here again, but if I did I get a room on the quiet side of the B&B.

Came to Ann Arbor for a weekend to visit U of M with my son. College tour dates were not out when we booked but the hotels were very expensive. We found this bnb. While odd for a father and son to be sharing a room at a bnb (I think of them more for romantic getaways), this place was awesome. We stayed in the Laguna Room, a large room with en-suite bathroom and two king beds, coffee maker and frig. There were snacks in the room and main area. Tasty breakfast was included. Location is fantastic, right on the cusp of central campus, so close to restaurants and most aspects of the school. Highly recommend. If my son gets in and we come back, I will definitely look to stay here again.

A true gem! Comfortable and clean, with interesting decor. Breakfast was consisted of fruit, yogurts, fresh pastries, artisan bread and delicious home made quiche and made to order eggs. A great alternative to a chain hotel.

Came back for a wedding on campus and was looking for a place to stay that was within walking distance to everything and this was the answer. We ended up staying in 2 different rooms over our 2-night stay because there weren't consecutive availabilities when we had booked, but this turned out great as we got to experience the intrigue of 2 of the rooms this B&B has to offer. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious, with great amenities (fridge, microwave, snacks, tea, etc). Our second night was in the loft which has a balcony overlooking Huron St - it was a very unique room that had a lot of natural light and airflow if you wanted it and made for a very cool stay. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful (both food set out and made to order) and we enjoyed taking in the scenery of the different collectibles housed on the shelves. Not to mention the inflatables set up for the fall season! Pat was such a gracious host and made sure that we had everything we needed. She was very accommodating to us and made our stay as smooth as we could have wanted it to be. She is so genuine and we learned a lot abut the history of the building - She has a book for sale that she wrote about her experiences running the B&B, which we ended up buying as well. Overall, if you want a central location with great comfort and, most importantly, great people running the show, I highly encourage you to check out Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast. We will definitely try to be back in the future.

Comfortable, welcoming place with amazing staff. Fresh breakfast with made to order eggs; My scramble with veg was light and perfect for a day on the go! Our room had a private patio and was clean and comfortable (Ocean View Room). Husband and I really enjoyed our quiet breakfast at the communal patio watching Ann Arbor wake up. Will stay again!

I stayed here for two nights on a recent business trip. The owner went out of her way to accommodate my schedule, providing my breakfast a half-hour before the usual breakfast hours. The room I had was small but very comfortable and unique, as per the photo. There was always quality coffee, tea, fresh fruit and munchies available at no extra cost, even some home-made confections. The hostess/owner was super-nice. The patio outside the dining area offered a nice alternative in good weather and several guests took advantage. Of course, it borders the U of Michigan campus and many good eateries are within walking distance.

Amazing B&B with great food and great rooms, all with different themes, air conditioning, and free wifi. It also has parking on the premises. I also appreciated that there was coffee, tea, cold drinks, chips, and lots of snacks that were all free It was right on campus, and had very cute decor wherever you looked. It reminded me of when I used to go to my grandma's house. The staff were very nice. I will definitely return any time I am in Ann Arbor.

Went to Ann Arbor, Michigan for a little two night getaway during the Summer Music Festival. Stayed at Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast Inn at 921 E Huron Street. What a treat. Very ecletic. Place is filled with memorabilia and antiques including many, many antique toys. We stayed in the Jamboree suite which included a small, but full kitchenette and its own private patio with lot of flowers and greenery and chipmunks scurrying around. The second floor balcony/porch off the breakfast room was absolutely lovely, again with lots of flowers and plants plus lots of colourful wind spinners, wind socks and metal sculptures and twinkling coloured lights in the evening hours. The staff were super, and very accommodating. Breakfast was great – juice, coffee and tea, homemade goodies, cereal, several types of bread for toasting, variety of jams, fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, etc, plus eggs and bacon if requested. Best homemade banana bread I have ever eaten. B & B location was perfect – close to the University of Michigan, the Arboretum with lots of walking trails, and the downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants. One of the outdoor music venues was just a two minute walk from the B & B front door. We walked everywhere and didn’t drive our vehicle once during our stay. All in all, a great mini-vacation.

Our standard procedure is to provide taxi phone numbers for a guest as we have found it more effective if the guest talks directly to the taxi company, clarifies pickup location, and gives them their cell phone number. I apologize that this guest seems to have been offended by our procedure. We serve a full, hearty, hot breakfast personally each morning by a chef who is always a University of Michigan alumnus. Again, I apologize if the guest felt that his breakfast service was not up to his expectations. I hope he will come back to give my staff another chance at making his stay comfortable, restful, and delicious. -- Pat, Innkeeper and owner (author of Twenty for Breakfast, an innkeepers tale)
