A perfect home away from home in a great Ann Arbor location. The house is furnished with interesting antiques - but is not fussy or overly formal in any way - a very homey decor. Fresh flowers, chocolates, and a tray with sherry and cookies were added treats. Lovely, comfortable rooms (fluffy towels, warm comforter on the bed) great breakfasts... More

We spent out 8th yr anniversary @ The First Street Garden Inn. The Art Deco room was wonderful & Mike & Kathy are delightful innkeepers. We loved the shower, the breakfast was delightful & we were right in the center of downtown Ann Arbor. You have to check out Kliners old fashion ice cream shop & Habana's cuban restaurant. This... We have been staying at this Ann Arbor B&B since the fall of 2003, when our son was a freshman at UM, and have been coming back ever since, even after he graduated. Conveniently located within walking distance of downtown and the main campus, this B&B on a quiet street is the perfect place to curl up with a good... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the First Street Garden Inn. This bed and breakfast is located in a quiet neighborhood that is still just two blocks from Main St., Ann Arbor. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfasts are wonderful (especially, the creme brulee bread pudding!), and the rates are very reasonable. But the best part of staying... More

Found this B & B on "trip advisor". Always a risk to book something only seen on line. This was perfect. The room was lovely and comfortable, the hosts were extremely accomodating, helpful. The breakfasts were very good. Couldn't have been better and we are pretty fussy. Would recommend for anyone although probably not set up for children (but imagine... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed two nights at the First Street Garden Inn B&B in Ann Arbor, a charming and comfortable place with charming and welcoming hosts. The location is FANTASTIC if your stay involves U. Michigan football or anything near campus, just 4 blocks from the stadium and 4 blocks from campus and the downtown shops, restaurants, etc.... “We stayed in the Art Deco Room. It's the smallest and cheapest as far as I know. I chose it for the decor, which was authentic. Small, but sufficient.”
