Richard Porco, General Manager, is incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and caring - particularly because this stay was for a medical visit at the U-M hospital nearby. He made things as easy and comfortable as possible, which means so much when having cancer treatment.

Brittanne was AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back!! We came in on a Friday for our Anniversary, we were able to check in early. Unfortunately there was a snow/ice storm Friday night that left places in Ann Arbor without electricity, which meant somethings we had planned over the weekend were cancelled due that. She assisted us in cancelling our second night without any trouble. She went above and beyond giving us ideas where to go for dinner, activities etc. We cannot rave enough about her customer service, attitude and generosity.

We just finished a 2 days stay at the Residence Inn Ann Arbor North and it was very disappointing. We needed to stay in the area to be close to a relative, who was in the hospital, during the storm as it passed through. At twice the price of other hotels in the area I expected more. TLDR; Don’t stay here unless you’re a deep deep sleeper and don’t mind paying double the cost of hotels in the area for an average(at best) stay. I arrived around 5. There was no one manning the front desk, but within a few minutes someone did come out of the back and check me in. The young man was pleasant enough and did accommodate my request for a first floor room. I had to ask if they had breakfast and the times it was available. There was also no acknowledgement of my gold status at Marriott. I got to the room and immediately put our stuff away so I could get back to the hospital. It’s a one bedroom unit so the bedroom and living area are separate. After being in the bedroom for 5 minutes the sound of the furnace was extremely unpleasant. Think jet airplane taking off when it starts up and a constant drone and rattle while it’s running. I went back to the front desk. Again there was no one there but eventually someone came out of the back. When I mentioned how loud the furnace was I was told that is normal. WHY WOULD THEY PUT THE FURNACE IN THE BEDROOM IF IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE TAKING OFF? We were woke up all night by the noise of the furnace. With no choice, due to storm and need to be close to the hospital, we suffered through it. This is reason enough to never stay here again. Unfortunately there’s more. Breakfast : Advertised 6:30 to 9:30. At 9:00 when we got there they were out of eggs and almost out of potatoes. When I asked when more eggs would be put out I was told they wouldn’t. How do you serve breakfast until 9:30 and run out of a staple before 9? One a bright note the young lady did acknowledge our disappointment and offer us breakfast sandwiches. Unfortunately the microwaved Bob Evan’s sandwiches weren’t very good. Kitchen: There were dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. I have no idea if they were clean or not. Also, it’s advertised as a full kitchen but there’s no oven. I would not consider a kitchen without and oven compete. Bathroom: The sink drain did not drain properly. We ended up having to use the kitchen sink. I would expect housekeeping to have noticed this when they cleaned the bathroom. The shower curtain had soap or shampoo on it as though it hadn’t been cleaned. Conclusion: On the surface the hotel looks nicely remodeled , but don’t stay here if you want a good nights sleep or mind paying a premium for an average stay.

This is the second time I have stayed here (last time was pre covid) and it was just as lovely as I remembered! The rooms (and beds) are very comfortable with everything you need for your stay (fully equipped kitchen), people are kind and helpful, and the amenities are great (pool/exercise room/outdoor area/laundry/spacious I ndoor spaces/nice breakfast)! The general manager, Rich, very generously upgraded us from a one to a two bedroom unit so that we’d be more comfortable (rather than having someone sleep on the pull-our sofa), and even called after our departure to check that something we had left in the room to the throw out wasn’t left accidentally. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous hotel, convenient and safe location, but the reason we'll remember this place is Nicolette. She is absolutely the belle of this ball. I've literally never had this kind of service anywhere. She made me feel as if we were bffs. I wanted to hug her goodbye. Bonus: She's hilarious, too! Thank you to her for showing us where to eat, for treating us with the upmost attention and kindness, and generously personalizing our experience from the beginning!

Friendly, attentive front desk. Unfortunately, there is no safe in the room, so I had to use the front desk a lot. The mattress is quite firm. The window opens, but it is too hard to reach it because of the desk blocking it. The kitchenette is reasonably well equipped. The room was clean. The bathroom/sink area was poorly designed: there is no towel rack by the sink, which is separated by a door from the shower/toilet. The shower enclosure uses a sliding glass door, but it is poorly designed, leaking water on the floor. Furthermore, that door had a misaligned latch and strike plate, so it could not latch closed. The (bath) sink drains somewhat slowly. The fridge buzzes briefly throughout the day and night. The ventilation works well but is a bit tricky to understand. Air does not circulate from other rooms, which is good. The wifi was good. I could hear noisy neighbors through the walls (but they were quiet at night).
