Great hotel to stay to visit the university without blowing the budget. Nicest Courtyard I have ever seen! Starting from the spacious and well furnished lobby to the well stocked bar (bistro). This Courtyard is clustered with other hotels but isn’t on the main drag with all the noise. Set back yet equally convenient. Free parking is perfect. Really nice looking outdoor area when the weather cooperates. Staff helpful and pleasant. Room as expected, nice when toilet/shower separated from sink area as it was here. Will definitely return on future trips to AA!
Very pleased with the superior service experience of the staff at this Ann Arbor Courtyard. As a Marriott titanium member I travel over 100 nights a year, so this is a huge feat for me to be compelled to write this review. Especially Chris Roberts there went above and beyond helping with various things I needed during the stay - most importantly with the gym in sourcing equipment I needed, and checking in to make sure I had everything for my workout. This shows how staff can really change a stay to a great experience
Hotel was nice. Lobby area was modern and looked to be newly decorated. Room was nice. Good counter space in bathroom!! Excellent service - front desk was super friendly and we needed extra towels when daughter didn't realize plastic liner needed to be inside the tub for her shower (UGH) - they brought them right away which has hardly ever happened in other hotels!! But the beds were just not comfortable. King size bed was somewhat lumpy and the linens were sparse. The pull out sofa for my daughter was horrible! I sat down for a second and felt every single coil in the mattress!! To be fair - I've never seen a pull out sofa at a hotel that was actually comfortable, but thought it was bad enough to mention. May be worth staying at again if we got two queens instead of a king and pull out couch? Or, the reality is that when we go to visit next year, our daughter will also be in college and will likely not be coming with us. :-( So the pull out sofa may no longer be an issue for us... but if you are staying there and will be using the sofa, maybe get two queens instead!!…
We were in town and other hotel we stayed at last time was booked for this trip. Additionally, rates were a lot more expensive this time but we were able to get a few rooms and decided to stay at the Courtyard. It's well located but needs work. When we arrived, they sent us the long way to our room as we later found out there are 2 separate elevators. We went up and found the tiles cracked in the elevator (poor 1st impression). Then we also found a number of issues in the room needing attention. See photos. Also, they had a convention at the hotel and we experienced folks outside being very loud at crazy hours. We called the front desk to see if they could help but nothing changed. Perhaps they should have asked the group to move inside in the lobby where they wouldn't be disturbing other guests. Based on what it cost us and the number of issues we had, we would not return to this property again in the future.…
The hotel is in a good location but the "grounds" are mostly parking lot. The room would have been fine as a single room but by trying to make it a suite the sitting area became a more like a dungeon- very dark and it seemed no amount of lights would brighten it up. The bedroom had the single window. We moved some furniture into the bedroom so that it least it would feel a bit more comfortable. It just seemed that instead of one larger room they wound up with 2 rooms which were too small. The sink was not quite clean when we checked in. The exercise facilities looked great as did the pool but we had no chance to use them as we had a tight schedule. In the future I would try somewhere else in Ann Arbor.
We stayed here for a Michigan football game in late October. The location is great and a short drive to the stadium and tailgating area. The lobby is nice and the staff were all great. The decor and guest rooms are dated and not up to the normal Courtyard standard, but clean none the less. We reserved a suite, because we had three people in our party and the pull out couch bed is a COMPLETE NO GO. It was small, and completely sub standard for someone to sleep on, other than may be a 5 year old. Internet was a little slow, but the lobby area with fire place was very inviting. Our room was quiet and we had plenty of hot water. The king bed was decent, but probably needed replacing as well. I think if they updated this location it could easily be 5 starts. It was a nice visit.…
Hotel is clean and is following covid guidelines/restrictions very well. Centrally located to Briarwood Mall and 94 Interstate. Quality dining spots are about a 5 minute drive from location. HERE IS WHERE THE AWESOMENESS KICKS IN....... We had issues with the turn around time with the Walgreen PCR testing. Side note...Ask you Pharmacy prior to locking down your test when the samples go out to lab via courier !!!!Ours sat at Walgreen Friday night after test...all the way to Monday morning. The 2-3 day turn around time is actually business days. Anyway....Staff at this Courtyard were so supportive of our dilemma (mini crisis) relating to adding overnight to stay, later check out time, top ups in room etc. Cannot say enough,,,,,cannot.
It's a good hotel conveniently located in the center of the town. Good size room, quiet, clean, with a nice bathroom. The hotel is quite large with a circular hall. Huge parking lot. We didn't have breakfast there.
Stayed here 1 night. I had a king room and like the layout- it maximized space better than the traditional “bed along the long wall” hotel room layout. The love seat was comfy. Shower was kinda janky- shower head spray was erratic and it took a long time for the water to heat up. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in big pump bottles. I only used the body wash- it smelled nice and was less drying than bar soap. I like the big bottles- more eco friendly. Generous pumps too. I hate it when you have to push the pump like 10 times to get a reasonable amount out. I had mobile key and thus didn’t really interact with staff, but they seemed nice.
Solid Marriott hotel. We were here for a youth hockey tournament. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, close enough for the team to walk to. Team breakfast was included. The food was very basic, but served in a small conference room.
