Think all hotels have cut way back on service since Covid. There was enough mold and gunk in the shower, that I decided to wait until the next night when I would be with family to take a shower. After a long day of driving, I really would have liked a hot shower. Nothing special.
Lots of sanitation, staff wore masks, rooms are clean and well appointed. Super comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good. Totally recommend if you want a very nice, convenient hotel that you can count on.
Check your linen before accepting a room. We found makeup, hairs, and dirt from previous occupant. Linen was clearly not changed. Several other guests complained of the same problem with their rooms. To include finding food from previous occupant left in their room.
Had a 2 queen suite for family of 5. Huge suite with comfortable sofa bed, desk, mini fridge and wet bar. Very clean and quiet. ~10 minute drive to U of M. One of the best hotel free breakfasts I’ve had since COVID with plenty of options, clean, very nice service. We had room facing the front of the hotel, had no issues with road noise.
First Class property. VERY clean. We've stayed at many Hamptons over the past twenty years and this is one of the best!! We definitely recommend. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast selections.
Have visited this particular Hampton Inn several times over the past few years because it is close to relatives in Ann Arbor and we have had positive experiences. This visit was not as good as previous ones. Wifi in the room did not work and the bed was saggy (a ‘canoe bed’). The front desk staff was present but didn’t knock it out of the park with friendliness and enthusiasm.
Stayed one night while taking my son to visit the university. Location is close to university and there is a great restaurant across the street. Breakfast included. Room was clean and spacious. I have the Hilton app so check in and check out were super easy!
The window coverings are transparent and you’ll have a clear view of the parking lot if you’re worried about your vehicle. Don’t expect the TVs to work in your room. Bring a tablet. I was never greeted by the staff.
We always can count on Hampton Inn for a good nights sleep, right No! Hilton honors member for over 20 years. Went to check in at 3:30 pm. Saw the Hotel lobby was full of high school age kids in town for sports events. When we got to the counter we asked for a top floor room, we made our reservation 8 months ago. Nope pre assigned rooms , your on the bottom floor. Ok, checked in , kids running up and down the hall all night, no sleep, no quiet at all. Don’t stay here!
We had a reservation for 8/14. There was a huge storm that week and we received a phone call at 11AM that they would not be able to accommodate us. I asked numerous times, "you won't charge me for the room, then?" "No, ma'm. You absolutely will NOT be charged." Sure enough, 5 days later, all $203.00 is gone out of my account. I called the hotel and left 5 MESSAGES with the manager. No response. Called corporate offices. They filed a claim and said I should know in 3 days. No response. Called again today and they are looking for all kinds of proof. No accountability. No action. Lost wages on my part for being on the phone so much trying to get my money back. I told them I would file small claims within 2 days if this is not resolved. We'll see what happens.
