We stayed at the Edelweiss guest house for two nights while visiting various wineries to celebrate my birthday. The experience was great! The room was very large with a comfortable bed & a marvelous two person jacuzzi! The staff was really friendly & breakfast was superb! I would highly recommend a stay and hope to be back soon!

We rode the katy trail 40 miles to get to Edelweiss and Kathryn was there waiting for us when we arrived. We only had a half hour to make it to the wineries before they closed so she had a tray of snacks with a couple glasses of wine which she had us put in our room. She locked our...

Stayed in the Miss Kim suite for one night. Staff very friendly and welcoming from the start with a cheese plate and wine. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved the large jaccuzzi tub. Appreciated the bottles of water and cookies in the room...nice touch after you have been out drinking at wineries all day. Very private access to...

We visited Edelweiss Bed & Breakfast with a couple of friends, and we had the two ground floor rooms (Miss Kim & Miss Heather). The rooms had nice furninshings and two person jacuzzi tubs, but they smelled like smoke. The rooms are advertised as "non-smoking", but these rooms are connected to the restaurant/bar which does allow smoking. For $160 per...

Major point for Edelweiss is that the quality for the price doesn't stack up to other bed and breakfast establishments around the state of Missouri. The B&B is centrally located in Augusta, making your access to the nearby 9 major wineries easy (though really, everything is so close that it's not a necessity to stay in town). We stayed in...

We stayed at the Edelweiss with another couple. We briefly met the owner, Kathryn Frazier, and happened to mention that we were about to leave for dinner at the Augusta Brewery. On our way out a few minutes later, the owner said she called the brewery and they have a 1 hour wait - but we were more than welcome...

When you enter into a B & B guest room, it shouldn't be through a bathroom. Especially one that the only way the main door will latch is by using the deadbolt. Once you pass through the bathroom the bedroom was comfortable and clean. If you are going to have a TV in the room...bite the bullet and supply cable....

Birthday surprise trip! Stayed in the Miss Tara room. Very nice and clean...loved the tub! We came in town on a Sunday...left on a Tuesday. Not all places open but we found plenty to do...made it to all the wineries! :) Bike rental close by in Defiance. Everyone we met...Jan, Paul, and the couple that loaned us a radio to...

“Only have experience with the Miss Heather room. [Pictures of other rooms appear comparable.] Ground floor. Car right outside. Walk across the porch to the restaurant.”

“Miss Heather was clean, had a great jacuzzi and a stand up shower. It was nice to park near our car. The air purifier took care of most of the restaurant smell as well.”

“There are two rooms that are downstairs adjacent to the dining room that might be quieter.”
MarthaJ370, 24 Nov 2013 | Read review
“You can choose an outside entry room or an upstairs room. If privacy is your goal, choose downstairs.”
LauraB185, 20 Jan 2013 | Read review
“Out of the pictures we saw of all the rooms, we chose Miss Heather because it looked the least old fashioned (we're in our 20s and appreciate more modern stuff). Turned out to be very charming and a great pick. Our room was on the corner of the building and we liked that our door went straight to outside. We could walk out of our room and our car is parked right there 4 steps away.”
