Our visit fell between the busy summer season and the hunting season, and it was wonderful! The facility was a great combination for rustic, but clean, and updated. We had a nice campfire and a good shrimp dinner. The one drawback was the dogs that kept coming around while we were trying to eat outside.

My wife and I stopped in to the Sun Canyon Lodge on the recommendation of someone in Augusta, MT. What an incredible location. The lodge is situated in a valley between vertical canyon walls on either side. The main lodge is warm, comfortable, and smells richly of smoke and wood. It's a great spot to hang out when it get...

We are a family of 7, including two young boys ages 5 and 7. We have done our own horsepacking for 30 years, but now that we have an extended family, we only have enough horses for riding, so needed an outfitter to pack our gear in for us. We arranged with Sun Canyon Lodge, and they couldn't have been...

The atmosphere was rustic and pleasant. The bathrooms were clean and the food wonderful. A dog named Curry greated us and ushered us inside the lodge. He then rested by the front door. Whenever a new customer was approaching he would bark a couple of times. The service was good and the waitress was friendly and paid attention to our...

We had diner with our family at the restaurant on our way to Gibson Dam. Great burgers, very good salads, generous portions and freshly made. It was quite a drive, but next time in Montana, we would definitely go again!

Just got married at the lodge. We reserved all 5 cabins, plenty of space for RV's and campers. Having a full service restaurant and bar up in the mountains was great. The staff was beyond helpful. Keep in mind this is a real hunting lodge with a million dollar view and not a five star resort. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary for a trail ride. Everyone was so warm and friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. Beautiful scenery and good food too. We will be returning for another trip soon!

My family and I stay here each year for a week- fishing nearby. A great place to stay. Very accommodating. Their restaurant is good - food tasty and reasonably priced. Owners and staff are very pleasant.

We have stayed at the cabins, hiked the area, looked at Petroglyphs and eaten a few times. Very beautiful area in some amazing mountains. Visit was marred a bit when the owner fired a wrangler for letting the horses go in a very loud way in front of us but chasing loose horses is no fun, we understand that. You...

Went to Sun canyon lodge to stay overnight for a gathering for a birthday party. Beautiful scenery, and breathtaking views. Went on a half day trail ride and loved it. We are ranchers from West Texas but don't have trees and mountains like this. Coming back for sure some day for a longer trip and to take a trail ride...
