We had an overall great experience with the Highland Lake Inn! We did a 2-night stay in October as we were in the area for a friend's wedding. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and while the inn had 10 rooms total, it felt spacious yet still pleasantly cozy. We were also impressed by how quiet the house was...

The Highland Lake Inn is perfectly situated in the rural town of Andover NH only 20-25 minutes from route 93 (the main corridor in NH). It is a wonderf ul B & B with fantastic rooms, well appointed and perfectly maintained. My family has been staying at this inn for 8 summers. It is home away from home and we love it. The Beaufays are so special and are like family to us. Thank you again for a fabulous weekend in your lovely home! It's not summer without seeing you. They put their heart and soul into everything they do and...

We go to B&Bs as often as possible. This Inn is truly unique! The host. Pecco, is a wealth of experience, wonderful life stories, and conversation. We have been to dozens of inns but this is the first I have truly felt at home. We had our choice of room. While my husband was at a scientific conference, I was...

We rode the Northern Rail Trail and had the pleasure of staying with Gayle and Pecco. They were very gracious hosts and the food was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed eating our meals with them and hearing their stories. We spent a lot of time laughing. It was a fantastic way to get away on a vacation.

This is the first time my wife and I have ever been drawn to writing a review on Tripadvisor. But – given wonderful hospitality of Gail and Pecco Beaufoys during our short stay riding the Northern Rail Trail in New Hampshire – we felt we must. Prior to our departure from Australia Pecco put together the perfect riding itinerary based...

I called and spoke with Gail and made reservations for an upcoming weekend. It was extremely difficult to find a place to stay due to the holiday weekend. Three hours later, Pecco, the owner, called and informed me that his wife made a mistake and there is a two night minimum stay. Mind you, I explained that I have now...

We arrived at Highland Lake Inn after riding bicycles 120miles in the rain. We were on a bicycle tour around New England and headed to Boston. The plan was to ride as far as we could and find a hotel when we got tired. At the 100mile point we started to get worried as we weren't seeing any signs civilization....
