I spent NYE last year at Maruba Resort Jungle Spa! Best Party ever. They really mean it when they say nightlife is wild! This year the theme is Rumble in the Jungle Glo party party 10. It is so cool like fantasy jungle. Each room has a special decor. The staff is friendly and fun, the music is awesome An... More

This place is a hidden treasure. The service was excellent and the food portions are huge. If you are into trying new things, ask for the viper rum shots. Its a fun experience. Also try to make time for the spa and beautiful pool. The journey there on the half paved roads are absolutely worth it when you get there.

We traveled to Maruba at the end of August/ beginning of September of this year. We had the most amazing experience from start to finish. The resort is very calming, the rooms, food, and grounds all very conducive to relaxation. I initially was a little unsure about having to eat all of the meals at the same restaurant everyday. I... We enjoyed the staff and excursions in this little tucked away jungle themed resort. If you are used to hotel vacations than be prepared that this will be a little different. I was in a little bit of shock upon arrival since I am a little spoiled to hotel style vacations, but after getting to know the place I was... More

Just to start by saying Hurricane Earl had just ripped through and the resort was open! Obviously lots of work had been done to tidy up the grounds. The rooms were clean but rather dark and not very comfy beds. (we had a bat in our room which I was able to encourage out before we fell asleep!) However the... More

Merickston, Owner at Maruba Resort Jungle Spa, responded to this review

Maruba Resort Jungla Spa is fully operational after receiving a direct hit from Hurricane Earl. The staff did a great job of cleaning up and getting the resort set back up the morning after the storm so there was little evidence of what occurred less than 24 hours before despite electricity and Internet disruptions. Guests were enjoying the facilities. The... More

Such amazing staff!! Melanie is always sure all her guests are VERY well taken care of! We spent every day out on an excursion with Delwin and he was SO great! We did snorkeling, Mayan ruins, cave tubing, and zip lining, horseback riding, and medicinal hike. On almost all the trips Delwin had a super delicious lunch packed and also... More

Maruba Resort Jungle Spa is a unique experience. Our room was divine - a junior suite. It was a hut in the jungle remote from any disturbances. The ambience was amazing. Every corner of Maruba calls for relaxation and romance. We were celebrating our one year anniversary. Melanie and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was... More

My wife and I stayed at Maruba for our 2nd anniversary. Everything about our stay was excellent. The service is remarkable. Melanie and her staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome and relaxed. They seemed to be able to anticipate our needs, always ready when needed, but not pushy or obstructive. Special thanks to Janil, who made... More

My husband and I recently returned from our trip to Belize. We spent the first half of our week in the jungle, and the second half of the week on a private island in the cayes to truly get a feel for as much of this amazing country as we could during our time there. The three nights we spent... More
