We stayed 3 nights in Room 5 at Las Olas. What an unusual place but we loved sitting on our terrace having a glass of wine and looking over the bay. Our cabin had a loft upstairs and a round bed on the main floor. There was a great shower with 2 sprays and a little kitchenette perfect for making...

We absolutely loved this place. Each suite is a completely unique building built on to the hillside, with unbeatable views of Lake Titicaca. Our suite was over 2 floors, with so many lovely personal touches. We had our own wood burner which kept us nice and warm. The bathroom is hewn from the rocks, with plants and flowers for company....

Second visit to this simply unique property. Eclectic, ambitious. It puts a smile on your face. Look carefully at the website to choose your lodging, each is different however you cannot make a mistake. I stayed in "The Snail", just amazing, on three levels and like a Snail inside and out. At $39 for single occupancy a bargain. RESERVE a...

We had an incredible stay, we enjoyed it so much. Right in front of the beautiful suites are gardens with Alpacas! You von just relax in the sun, while Alpacas are eating next to you. We had the Suite no 9 'the tipi' and it was probably the most beautiful hostel we have ever stayed with!

We couldn't believe how beautiful this place was! If this was in Europe you've pay 4x the amount we paid! The view from our room was incredible. The owner was so lovely, really went out of his way to help. We even had a circle bed! A must place to stay and treat yourself to for sure!!!

On a large area with an incredible view of Copacabana Bay, Hotel Las Olas welcomes you in suites all different from one another. Between the snail-shaped suite, the turtle-shaped suite or the other suites that are all equipped with kitchen and hot showers (a luxury in Bolivia), you have the choice to make your trip really nice. The wifi is...

My five friends and I stayed in 'El Tipi' and loved it! The space was so unique, yet very functional and comfortable. We had a great view overlooking the town and the lake. The workers were very kind and helpful. We used the hot tub, but it did cost extra. The only downside was how warm our room got in...

Las Olas is gloriously beautiful and bonkers. Amazing accommodation and views, everything is so well thought out and designed and it's by far the best hotel we've stayed in in 7 weeks in South America.

This place was by far the best place we stayed during 2 months in South America. The rooms are really amazing, each with their own individual design and are all extremely spacious with fantastic views across Copacabana. The staff try very hard, even with somewhat limited English and the owner is great. A little more expensive than average for Bolivia...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dear tourist, hostel "Las Olas" is placed on a hill side over looking lake Titicaca. From any of the seven suites you have a marvellous view over the bay and the lake. You have spacious gardens with hammocks and deck chairs on the different terraces leading down the hill side. On our grounds you can use a fire place and we have several stone tables and benches to eat outside to enjoy the views. For those who love plants and flowers, you will find an enormous variety of predominantly local species. All suites have been individually designed, using as many natural and local materials as possible and respecting traditional ways of construction. They provide a maximum comfort and you will find many artistic details for the eye. From your living room area, from your bed and almost from any point of your room you have a perfect view of the lake through the huge window fronts. Each suite is provided with a small kitchen unit, private bath an inside hammock and a fireplace. There is also a little electric heater for your use We do a big effort to work very ecological. The cabins are built with a complete heat insulation of polystyrene inside the roof, as well as in the walls below the facade. We preheat the water with big solar panels and than feed it into the electric boiler to guarantee very hot water 24 hours a day. We recycle all our washing machine water with an automatic sprinkler to wet our extensive gardens, and we also collect any plastic or glass bottle left behind to be recycled. ... more   less
