Best 2 nights ever. Watched elephant and Buffalo from the deck then had to watch as a Hyena chased and killed buffalo. It was a bit confronting but an experience we would not have missed. It was Africa as most people would never see. Next morning about 100 vultures came down to feed on the carcase. Last morning we took...

This was the last place we stayed on a 17 day tour of Southern Africa and they saved the best place for last. The accommodations were excellent for rural Africa and they had all the modern conveniences from a floor fan to tiled bath with double sinks and plenty of hot water and two swimming pools. The staff was excellent,...

My wife and I thought that we'd died and gone to heaven!! This place was amazing. You have to picture the scene. We were sitting on the deck in the evening, by the water hole, sipping ice cold beverages watching a number of animals come down to drink. (elephant, giraffe, impala and many more) This was followed by a sumptuous...

Chobe NP lived up to its reputation - and this is a wonderful base to see it from. It was a 30 minute drive to the park entrance. There is a lot of safari traffic in chobe, so don't expect to feel isolated but the experience was still fabulous. The elephant valley lodge is set by a water hole visited...

I can't say enough GREAT things about Elephant Valley Lodge! The camp and staff were all amazing. They greeted us at the airport and from that point on our entire trip was everything we hoped for and more. We did three amazing game drives in Chobe, including one as a river cruise. After our first evening game drive, we went...

We traveled to this camp 4 years ago and had such a great experience we came back with other families this year. The upgrades are great that they have done to the camp and the elephants at the water hole were amazing. The food was a highlight as well. The heated beds were amazing during the cold weather. Make sure...

Now this is our style of camping. Our tent was well equipment and very comfortable with wonderful views directly into the waterhole and surrounding area. The bed was comfortable with an electric blanket for the chilly nights and the bathroom facilities were spacious if somewhat cold in the morning. Sleeping with the sounds of wild animals such as Hyenas, Lions,...

As we arrived just prior to dark we were told to come quickly through reception to the outdoor lounge area which overlooked a water pool. There we saw many buffalo and about 30 elephants not 20 metres away. An electric fence which they knew about separated us. The highlight of my trip; the best sight since Tanzania 3years ago. Later...

We stayed at Elephant Valley Lodge as our final camp in Botswana during our honeymoon in December 2014. Perhaps we may have enjoyed Elephant Valley Lodge better if this had been our first camp of the honeymoon, but after having had breathtaking, fantastic experiences at the 3 previous camps throughout Botswana, we were left bitterly disappointed (and in fact, a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated in the Lesoma Valley (corridor between Chobe National Park and Wangi National Park). All year round waterhole in front of lodge that has daily visitations of all game including BIG 4. We are far enough away from villages and towns to enjoy the natural sounds of the bush (lions roaring, hyenas calling and elephants trumpeting). We have 24 hour electrical power, with fans and electric blankets (winter only) plus the whole property is secured by a perimeter electrical fence to keep out dangerous animals. We are 30 minutes from an International Airport (Kasane)and 30 minutes from a Medical Center. ... more   less
