It's just ok. I wouldn't stay there again. Very old shower and the place just wasn't update. Fairly clean. Management hardly spoke to us and he said there was a grab and go breakfast after asking about the free breakfast.
The room was disgusting. The fridge was dirty; the bed mattress hade a massive sinkhole and the bathroom was just not cared for. I would never set foot in this hotel again and never recommend it. Front desk was useless. It smelled of pot. Side note, this hotel is no longer a best western.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite which had some visible water damage and a musty smell likely from past users of the jacuzzi tub. It was a smaller room then what you would expect for being classified as a "suite" but it had all we needed. The TV was brand new, large, and worked well with our firestick. The wifi worked fine and the bed was comfortable and clean. Tub filled fast and air conditioning worked though it had a loud compressor. This is a 2 story motel so being on the ground floor we were able to park directly in front of our room. Overall, good place for a one night stay.
As a solo traveler, the one thing I hope and pray for when staying at a hotel is cleanliness, location, and safety . I have stayed at this location years ago when it was part of the Best Western chain brands. I see why they are no longer part of that brand. The rooms STILL had the same décor it had from 2003. I was trying to give the property the benefit of the doubt based on the pics. First off your greeted by an extremely strange odor, a combination of mildew, cigarette smoke, and some peculiar so called air freshener fragrance. The drapery had stains??? Dust on furniture. During these times of Covid....I could not chance a stay hear. I stayed ONLY BECAUSE it was late. I checked out the next day. For health safety reasons DO NOT STAY HERE!!. Sad that management is neglecting this property and don't give damn about people's safety in these times. P.S. Dont be fooled by other "current" post stating the property was "AWESOME OR GREAT" I don't belive they are authentic.…
Very clean, low prices and worth the money, great location, very satisfied, I would definitely be booking again. The room was clean, and the jacuzzi worked perfectly. Only issue I have is the location is a misser if you haven’t been, you’re likely to speed past it, but then again it’s Jersey so. But still a good time.
For a 2 star hotel the Garden State Inn is surprisingly clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable too. The breakfast was passable, but certainly not great. Its a hot cup of coffee, a piece of toast and a hard boiled egg. The #1 worse thing about this place is the thin walls. Very noisy. We were on the ground floor and we could here tons of commotion above our heads. Screaming kids, running back and forth. Another problem is the sound of the shower from the next room. ANNOYING!! No clock, no TV station list. The water had a bleach smell to me. Enough towels. Other than that, it was a decent room at a fair price.
We had to go to Atlantic City for a conference and had to extend the stay. We decided to go out of Atlantic city not to pay high prices. As per our hotel page indicator, Absecon was a town where could save money. We chose the Garden State Inn, the right choice. They allow us an early check-in because they had availability besides a good sense of hospitality management. They offered basic breakfast sufficient to start a day with energy. Our room #212 was spacious, full of light, decent bathroom, all cleaned but not a comfortable queen bed. As our days went through, we continued amicably expressing the discomfort of the bed. One day upon our returned to the hotel, the front desk informed us they were authorized to change the bed WAO!. It seemed that the owner and general manager care about educated guests. We spent many days there permitting us to be a witness of how vigorously the entire hotel's staff work. They worked hard to keep the place outstanding. We also had the opportunity to see how other guests are careless about rules and the establishment. We had a sad reflexion, how small business is making the effort to stand out, and simultaneously, guests are doing the opposite almost in a rebel way with society. We sincerely thank Sam for his professional approach to handling guests, the women team Andrea, Socorro & Marisela for the daily cleaning and Mr. RC for working meticulously daily around the property with a great smile. Can we be a better world, even with people that do not care about it?…
Passing through New Jersey we just needed a stop over, and this was a good choise to the given price. The place have a pool and offers breakfast, but do not choose the hotel based on this, since neigther of them were clean or well assorted. The room was clean and as expected.
This is the worst placed I every stayed run when you see the name the room was dirty smelly and on top of that the water was Yellow yes Yellow management is super rude when confronted with problems if you want to avoid this horrible experience pay more and stay somewhere you can be comfortable so glad that one night is over here's a picture of the water I also got video
We just stayed here last night, and I'm happy to report it was very clean and well run! They had a mini coffee maker and a frig in the rooms, which I hadn't read about in the site details. If you are a light sleeper, I'd recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as possible because there is a traffic light near the Inn and some of the traffic is loud when it starts moving. We left before the breakfast was being served at 6:30 because we had to get home. Thanks!
