Located in the Wat Damnak area, in the South-East quarter, the retreat is just 10 minutes walk to downtown Siem Reap and about 10 kilometres from Angkor and the airport. Like the other Golden Temple properties, the Retreat provides professional spa, a lengthy swimming pool, extensive bar and high quality restaurant. The restaurant features complimentary Apsara dance performances at selected times and serves both Western and local gastronomic delights. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and many modern comforts. Each room has en-suite shower room with quality fittings. Recognising the importance of guest service, the team constantly work to improve language skills, proactivity, cultural awareness and interpersonal skills.

Staff at the hotel were fab. Very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We had a tour guide Sinet who was great and very knowledgeable. Also thanks to driver Chen who was very good and greeted us regality with much appreciated cool towels and water.

We had excellent time with our excursions, amazing experience with sunrise visit to Angkor Vat today. Our guide and driver provided very courteous service, knowledgeable and very helpful. We went on tour with Sinet and Rorn to the temples, very kind, excellent treatment, knowledge and Sinet is a great photographer too, you will get the tour and amazing photos as well. 100% recommended!

Had a lovely stay here - well located and beautiful room. Only stayed 2 nights but did so much. They arranged driver and guide to visit the temples which was amazing. Our guide Vantha was excellent and knowledgeable - even taking some very good photos - would highly recommend Vantha

We stayed in the pool access room at Golden Temple retreat and it was beyond perfect! Right from the airport pick-up to welcome to the lunch and breakfasts, the hospitality and attention to detail was spot on! Sofia helped us with all the sight seeing bookings. The pool is well maintained, and highly recommend to spend time lounging in the pool, sipping their delicious cocktails. The highlight of the visit was our English speaking guide Sinet - he is very knowledgeable and hospitable. Sinet took good care of us, planned the temple visits well so that we got to see all the key spots in the right order so as to not be tired out. His special skill is his photography - he took some amazing pictures with all the right backdrops. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would recommend to book with Golden Temple as well as Sinet. :) …

Loved our stay at the Golden Temple Retreat! We had a "pool access" room which was very comfortable and all the staff were very lovely. The breakfast and lunch was delicious, and a free massage topped off the wonderful stay. We asked the hotel to help us arrange for some private tours/excursions. These were facilitated by So Phreak (driver) and Chhong (tour guide). Chhong and So Preak where absolutely amazing! Providing fresh cold water, clean toilets, and an engaging informative and spiritual history of Cambodia. If you plan to see places like Angkor Wat, Koh Ker, or Beng Mealea, I highly recommend them both! We also managed to be in Siem Reap during Songkran and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip! It's basically a giant country sized water fight/party in the streets, meant to wash away the year gone by. I highly recommend Cambodia in general, and this restort is a guarenteed perfect stay for anyone who is visiting for the first time. We can't wait to go back!…
