The service by the staff were amazing and they catered to all our needs. The rooms were large and spacious, although there was no shower curtain and the fridge was not working. However staying here is still a bargain!

As other reviews note, the River Garden Hotel moved across the river and took over the premises of the Mayfair Angkor Hotel, presumably in early October. The 'official' description and photos here are for the old River Garden. For a description of the 'new' River Garden check the Mayfair Angkor Hotel on TripAdvisor. That said, I have mixed feelings about... More

I have stayed at both the "old" and the "new" River Garden and both have the same elements that make it great - beautiful pool, quiet surroundings and most of all, incredibly friendly and generous staff. We were very well looked after for a week here recently and can't wait to come back.

The hotel/home stay you see here in the pictures is NOT the river garden. It's changed locations. I fell foul of this. I booked a beautiful room with a spacious garden terrace and what I got was totally different. First of all I arranged an airport pick up that never showed up. So i got a taxi which took me... More

My wife and I are avid travelers and we always look for smaller and more personal local type places to stay. The River Garden fits our likes almost perfectly. A very relaxed and small guesthouse. Our room was the one that overlooked the entry gate and part of the restaurant and pool. There is a narrow balcony where you can... More

This isn't a negative review, we just thought everyone should know that the new RiverGarden hotel is very different from its previous self. We called prior to see if they had an off season rate to which we were told that they were always busy so they had no need - fair enough but once we got there there was... More

There are some things we really loved about River Garden and other things which we found something of a challenge. The peaceful garden setting is really beautiful, the puppies are delightful, the food is some of the best we've ever had. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow which had a spacious deck area with day bed. On a few occasions... More

The service is amazing as well as the food! The pool is the first one we have come across in our 5 years of traveling south east Asia which isn't warm! It's deep and refreshing! The cocktails are also probably the best I've had! A particular mention to Diyouk who goes above and beyond when it comes to service. His... More

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel and we are quite happy with our choice. The room was simply beautiful and the ceiling fans a delight. The pool was very clean (they are cleaning it every day). After a long hot day walking around, it is a delight to splash in the water. A few nitpickings are the fact that... More

This hotel is very much the jungle in a resort format. It is very interesting to stay here. The pool is fab, there's great offers with drinks to chill out after a long day. I didn't like the breakfast but I think there was more on offer that I didn't know about. It would be good if there was a... More
