We stayed in this excellent hotel arranged by Amawaterways as part of their Mekong river cruise. It reminded me somewhat of the famous five star Royal Livinston hotel in Zambia in its design and layout. Any reader whose has previously stayed in this hotel will see the similarities but with perhaps with an eastern twist. The hotel is really beautiful... More

Enjoyed the water features and the friendly staff at this hotel. Pool wonderful to come back to after a day spent exploring the town and in particular the area of Ankor Wat. Be prepared for the water to be warm. Food - breakfast, lunch and dinner all delicious and with wide choice particularly if you have been travelling for a... More

This is indeed a very beautiful hotel - grounds, buildings, rooms, pool... the gardens are a restful haven, the rooms well appointed. High standard of food and wine options. Lush tropical 'colonial' luxury, with sophisticated simplicity that's never 'in your face'. Here the magic of the place comes alive thanks to the staff, in all categories from sweeper to manager.... We stayed at the Sofitel in October for 9 days. It was absolutely amazing. Great room, huge comfortable bed & large bathroom. Fabulous staff, so friendly and so helpful. Special touches like fresh flowers in rooms, staff opening doors for you, handing you umbrellas when it rained, remembering your special coffee order every morning at breakfast or even your favourite... This is now my favourite hotel in Asia - brilliant service. I didn't open a door a door in the hotel reception area the entire time we stayed - staff lost ran to open the door for you. Everyone seemed to remember your name and wish you a nice day and then again on your return from tours they seemed... More

Not the cheapest place in town but I was invited... The setting is really beautiful, the pool specially is great, a bit like like river. The rooms are bright, with trees and vegetation in front and extra comfortable. October was the perfect month, not super busy and good time to visit the temples, just a few km away from the... More

I spend at least 30 nights a year in hotels so I'm not easily impressed but this place was just terrific. My wife and I felt like we transported back in time. The hotel had the feel of the classic hotels of the past but with all the modern conveniences. Room was spotless and wonderful. The grounds were beautiful and... More

Excellent food, service & room. Friendly, helpful staff. Pool absolutely delightful, I wish that I had more time to spend there. I loved the swim up bar and enjoyed my beer. The breakfast buffet was a gourmet delight.

This hotel is a lovely place to stay. The facilities are excellent as are the staff, food, rooms and setting. The pool area is so relaxing and peaceful. The gym, although small, has enough machines for one on holiday.
