The reservation staff put me on hold multiple times for over 10 minutes before I hung up and called back. They hung up on me multiple times and refused to answer my call. They didn't have anyone who could speak English and were frustrated by our difficulty in communicating, so they hung up instead of helping me confirm a reservation.

We arrived in Puerto Arenas late afternoon on our way to Torres del Paine. Due to the distance between both places we needed to spend that evening in P Arenas. This hotel was ok for that. I wouldn't stay longer. The hotel is old, need a refurbishment desperately!! But for what we were looking for, it works well. It is...

Use this hotel pretty regularly over last 10 years for work-related travel. Reliable place, decent size rooms and comfortable beds, and generally quite quiet. Staff friendly. Has its own restaurant which serves substantial and tasty food, if not particularly spectacular. Has a small swimming pool, possibly the only hotel here to do so.

I stayed at Hotel Diego de Almagro in Punta Arenas, Chile in Dec 2015, as a starting point for an expedition to Antarctica. My entire team of 6 of us left some luggage behind in the hotel's "secure" luggage storage, only to return 3 weeks later and found that out of the 6 of us, 5 of us had been...

Stayed here when traveling with a large group. Starting off with the positives - the hotel was clean, includes breakfast and is in a very good location (right on the water and walking distance to restaurants and shops). Now the bad. I understand the hotel is under new management and they don't have a good check in or reservation management...

An overweight woman in her thirties (without a name badge) is up there in my top five worst ever receptionists. She was so more interested in doing her paperwork than serving customers. She was so unprofessional, and couldn't be less helpful about checking me in, and when I asked her to arrange a taxi for 4:45am the next day, she...

We stayed here our first night in Chile. The location is good--overlooking the water and on the edge of town. The hotel is fairly dirty, dated and basic. I much preferred our stay at a comfortable hotel in town. This is a chain hotel and it was passable. It provided what we needed -- a bed and locked room and...

We used this hotel arriving at 2 am from Santiago and going into Torres Del Paine national park. Hotel location is next to a 'busy' road and so we had some street noise coming into the room. Hotel is clean but basic. Lots of wall to wall carpeting that looks out of date and in need of a redo. Service...

Outdated and cheap looking. The rooms do not look clean but work. Other hotels look nicer from the outside but I do not know how the rooms are. If I ever return to Punta Arenas I will definitely never stay at this hotel. No help from porters, no help for reservations at front desk... terrible.

We stayed here because we were a large group who had to book last minute. So there was no other space available in any other hotel. Our experience was pretty dull. The rooms were the least you can expect from a hotel. The rug was pretty messy and the smell when you entered the room is pure Clorox. We had...
