Visited here on a business trip and was quite happy with the location of the hotel. They have nice rooms with a view to the lake. It is also walking distance from Wanda plaza where there are a number of options for eating out. Cleanliness and overall look of the room was OK. Breakfast menu was decent however they had some counters which were not functioning (like the haagen dazs ice cream and an indian parantha counter). I was satisfied with the overall service and the package.

Brazilian BBQ is now the season! I went there for dinner and they had many different kinds of food from Chinese to western/Brazilian! The chef will come to you and offer you a piece of the freshly roasted beef, fish ball, meatball, chicken wing, and even MID-RARE STEAK!)) Only con is the sauce, they don't have enough only one kind of chicken spicy sauce. Nevertheless, for ¥88 that's definitely worth it! Love it!) I shall come again for sure!

I stayed here two days for a business trip. The hotel is perfectly fine though not quite the quality that I experienced in other places during my China trip. But it has to be taken into account that, perhap as we came with a group we probably got a very good deal (450 CNY per night including breakfeast) which is much less than in the other hotel that I stayed in. The room was fine, great view, but it was a little odd that there was no soap and the carpet had a fairly big stain. Hardly any of the staff spoke english but they were helpful (sometimes it required three people for them to find out what we wanted) and we got by. Breakfeast was interesting, catering clearly for Chinese people, which I prefer. The hotel was in walking distance to a major shopping and restaurant mall and we ate pretty well there.

I was told that this hotel was new and 5 star. It may be new but it was dirty, filthy actually. The breakfast was terrible and I stayed for 4 nights but only went to breakfast once, I would not even class it as a breakfast. Probably okay to advertise it as a two star. I asked for non smoking but was given a smoking room and I changed the morning after Room temperature was to high for bedding, I find this a lot. You get all these notices about saving detergents and water but then they provide bedding that is too warm for the room temperature. The air conditioning is going flat out trying to get the temperature down when all they need to do is supply lighter bed clothes. I tried sleeping without bed linen but then it was too cold. Do other travellers find this or is it just me. Classing this hotel as a five star is an insult to genuine 5 star hotels, I'm not sure how the system works Staff spoke little or no English, there was no assistance with baggage and there was no mini bar In new district and close to new massive shopping centre with heaps of restaurants I usually stay in the Hilton but was told it was too hard to get in and out as there was extensive road works, I wont be staying in the Swan Lake again

Room Tip: Beer is warm. If you want a cold beer, you can get it at a nearby corner shop, 3 RMB for 500ml...

My memory of Hefei was the old, mid-size, and unremarkable city in the 80's. It totally changed once I was driven to this hotel. Modern, stylish and facing a park called "Swan Lake". Great for a bussiness stay. The room is spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel is well maintained by the local government (not an international chain hotel).

This is a new hotel (2008) very close to the Hefei Municipal Govt Offices in the South part of the city. The rack rates are through the roof, but the going prices are about 40% of rack. I paid RMB650 for an executive floor room (rack is 1580). The building is in good condition and is in a quiet location. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find them to be unfriendly towards westerners, but I agree that English skills are lacking in many departments. Still, I would rather stay here than at the much older downtown properties that are rather run down.

This was a good hotel when they first opened. They have fallen since then. They are no longer friendly towards westerners. The staff did not speak English and that may be why they did not accept my reservation and charged me the highest rate. That was a surprise. I was on the executive floor and and not all things worked properly. The Internet was suddenly stopped and did not return. I am very disappointed. This could have been a nice place to stay next to Swan Lake in Hefei. The view was very nice.
