Our experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Xiamen - Haicang, where we stayed from July 20th, was truly exceptional. Initially planning for a two-night stay, the outstanding services encouraged us to extend it to an extra night.
We were traveling as a family and booked two rooms. The hotel’s attention to Hilton Honors Diamond members like us was highly appreciable. The hotel took the initiative to contact us regarding our requirements and generously upgraded our rooms prior to our arrival.
Even though the hotel isn't located directly on Xiamen Island, the compact layout of Xiamen and efficient transport system made it easy to reach any destination. The location also served as a haven away from the noise of the typical tourist areas.
The picturesque view from our windows was a delightful sight. The hotel staff went the extra mile to set up room decorations and toys for our children before we arrived. The bedding provided was incredibly comfortable, contributing to a sound sleep.
What left an indelible mark was the hotel's proactive customer service. After our checkout, we left some items behind. However, the hotel promptly contacted us about our forgotten belongings.
In summary, our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Xiamen - Haicang was second to none. Their remarkable service, close attention to detail, and comfortable amenities have given us a memorable experience that we highly recommend to others.

The club lounge at this hotel provided very high standard happy hour which was actually a buffet including seafood. Free breakfast for hilton diamond members was provided at restaurant, which was also a variety of local and western cuisines. Pool and gym was fantastic. I got a room upgrade to a suite which was luxurious.

I stayed at this hotel for 4.5 weeks during 15 July–17 August (with one weekend away in Hong Kong). Despite the fact almost all staff at the hotel were wonderful, with some of whom I shared enjoyable private dinners and conversations, I regret to say I cannot recommend this hotel. Its general manager, Milton To 杜国鑫, was the most dishonest and emotionally manipulative hotel manager I ever encountered since I began living in hotels from 2006, fully aware his fraudulent practices were in breach of multiple provisions of Chinese law hoping his guests would be ignorant or otherwise mellow enough. It certainly was the first time I publicly wept as a result of a hotel manager’s emotional manipulation of me as a person for an extended period -- when I teach law and have stayed in hotels in five continents. I have written and consensually audiotaped evidence to substantiate my present review.

We stayed here in July as a family (mama, papa, and two sons, 6 & 10). We were here for two nights, but I would happily have stayed much longer.
The room was perfect, with a fantastic view through full-length windows. The swimming pool was lovely. The breakfast was delicious.
It is a little bit away from downtown (maybe 30 min in a taxi), but this wasn't a problem. There are plenty of shops and amenities nearby.
The staff were wonderful --- I didn't get all their names, but some of those I remember are: Belle Yuan (who reached out in email before we came, and took great care of us when there); Jeanne (who checked us in); and Julie (who helped us out for breakfast each morning).
If I was to offer any suggestion it would simply be to consider some additions/changes to the Happy Hour in the Executive Lounge. The lounge, which is on the top floor, is very comfortable and has excellent views. I suggest considering adding some drinks (maybe some spirits) and alternative foods --- the Happy Hour food seemed to be half-way between hors d'oeuvres and meals: maybe more finger-foods or canapes or things like french fries would make it more like an hors d'oeuvre offering; or maybe more substantial things to make it more like a full meal.... In any case, it may be that some small changes here will have a very big impact. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my visits to the lounge.

Spacious room with great view over the water. Roomservice was good as well, breakfast buffet could offer some more and better fruits. Gym in this hotel was nice as well. Room was quiet, well cleaned and the bed was comfy.

The hotel is located at Haicang off the mainland instead over crowded Island but yet it is just a 15-20 taxi ride to the main tourist point such as ZhongShanLu or the ferry terminal to Gulangyu. It is pretty new and the facilities in the room are modern especially the bathroom where water pressure is strong enough and hi-tech toilet bowl.
We held our annual conference in this hotel with delegates coming from across the globe. Could not find any fault as the ballroom use for our conference has the right audio & visual equipment. The LED backboard and overhead projector makes presentations and backdrop just too neat. Meals at the Chinese restaurant on the 2/F was superb and the main cafe that serve breakfast and lunch has a wide spread of variety.
The Executive Lounge on the 22/F serve afternoon tea and evening canapé but most Interesting is the view of the island be it by day or night make one enjoying the meal or drink with ease. Obviously this being compliment with the staff at the lounge such as Diana who just want to spoil you.
Thank to Milton and your team; Jessica, Mercedes and Eva who help us organise our conference which ended with success.
Most of us who travel to Xiamen frequently usually stay on the island side but now will be considering Doubletree by Hilton Xiamen Haicang as one of the prefer hotel on our next visit.

Beautiful hotel with great brand new facilities, and the service is impeccable. The location might seem a bit off, but it wasn't inconvenient at all! Breakfast buffet was also high quality and amazing.
At the prices this hotel offer I would say this is a perfect choice to stay in Xiamen!
Special shoutout to Ms. Ivy Lei in the guest relation department. She truly went above and beyond to make sure the stay was enjoyable.
