Detailed Reviews
Being with Hilton Garden Inn for a long time, it has been the longest stay (4 whole weeks), and was very happy to get the suite such that my wife will enjoy her time while I am at work. Staff is great from Front Desk (Daniel), restaurant (Nancy & Ivy), to housing keeping (King). Excellent team!

The room is spacious, the price is economical and affordable, and the location is convenient. They provide free cribs. It is difficult to find free cribs at the same price and level in the area. In some places, cribs are extremely unavailable, so based on all the reviews and references, this is This hotel is definitely suitable for family accommodation! The only thing that feels a bit strange is that when ordering on Ctrip.com, we were given a barrier-free room first, but later we found out that we could choose a normal room, so be careful when purchasing! The leakage force of the bathroom shower head is relatively poor. If it were bigger and more comfortable, the rating would be higher! I didn’t choose breakfast because there are many restaurants in nearby shopping malls. If you have time, you can visit nearby restaurants and you will have more choices!

+1
I ended up being here by myself for 4 days as my husband had to travel back up north for work. I was so pleased i was here and not elsewhere. The staff here were very helpful and friendly and made me feel very comfortable & safe.. Its a large luxury hotel and some of the staff speak minimal english but the person next to them will be able to speak English and they will ask them to step n and help.
Walmart is just next door if you have any immediate shopping needs. Plus Burger king, Pizza Hut and a few local shops.
Its also near a train station and about 1/2 hour from Airport.
The beds were wonderful. Sadly we didnt book so couldnt get a king but the two singles were BIG singles and were what a westerner would see as firm but not hard as most Chinese hotel beds.
The restaurant food was wonderful. I'd rate it as a 9 /10 . It had a wonderful noodle bar, fresh cooked eggs of all types and some very yummy curries and the other usual fare. The only thing lacking was the variety of cereal. The chefs and cooking areas were spotless. Food Hygiene here is A1.
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It had a desk, coffee & kettle etc and a roomy bathroom with a fantastic shower.
It also has a self service laundry. This costs the equivalent of $10 AUD for a massive load and then another $10AUD for the dryer. Or you can get Laundry service where they do it for you. (Dont know the cost)
I only have one negative feedback. Like most Hilton hotels, there is a thermostat for the heating but we cant actually adjust them. They are controlled by management. Even though i put the control as low as it went, it was still 25 degrees Celsius. I felt like i was being slow roasted. Its way too hot to sleep in. So they told me to open the window but that let in all the pollution and noise. Who can sleep with tooting horns all night from the street?! In saying that the streets quiten down by 11 pm. So then they kindly gave me a portable evaporative cooler which helped but didnt totally solve the problem. Perhaps being there in summer would be better.
On the whole, the heating situation was outweighed by the excellence of the rest of the hotel. I can say this confidently, as we stayed in 6 hotels in 10 days and this was the best. When coming back to Shenzhen, we will be staying here again for sure.

The hotel is certainly beyond the expectation of a Garden Inn (even better than many Hiltons I have experienced) and yet price is on the low side. The staff is excellent from front desk Sunny, Chris and most especially Chee Kay Deng, housekeeping and restaurant as well. They have been very helpful and attentive to any question or requests that I had. Great Deal if you don't mind being away from city center (1 hour by car to border to HK) but we were alright as we went to the Safari Zoo with the kids and there is a big Walmart just downstairs. So, the plus side being farther away is rooms are large and very peaceful on the streets.

My experience at new Hilton Garden Inn Shenzhen Baoan was sort of mixed. I had chosen to stay at this Hilton property for my 12 hour layover at Shenzhen while taking advantage of my HHonors member status.
Check-in process was kindly taken care upon my arrival after 11pm. The receptionist tried his best to serve me without any hesitation and the process was done quickly.
Room was very clean and well equipped with a dozen of electric outlets as well as USB ports across the room to match today's traveler needs. Bathroom was also nicely clean but simple as it was probably China's Garden Inn style, which was actually still better then one in the United States.
View from my room next morning was something unforgettable. Aging buildings were spread across the Garden Inn building and the scene showed that was where most Chinese people lived who could not afford to live in more expensive Shenzhen interior. You can't see such views on other Hilton properties.
The reason I had mixed experience at this property was unprofessional staff at breakfast venue. I headed for breakfast around 6:30am and the female staff approached me and said, "room number" with her early morning upset face. Then I told it to her. She then turned back without saying anything, no smile, no escort, and no coffee or etc.
Otherwise, breakfast was good. It offered a variety of choices from Western to Chinese but western dishes lacked choices plus tastes.
Check-out was smooth while staff were friendly but English communication was somewhat limited. Still they showed their passion to serve guests, which was a meaningful upside.
Drawbacks of my stay at this property were food-related services. When I called in-room services after checking-in late night, no one picked up my calls and I had to give up dinner. And breakfast venue staff's quality of work was not acceptable.
Location was not really a problem during my 12 hour layover at SZ. It still required a taxi ride from and to the airport but it took less than 30min or so. However, if you are a tourist focusing on Shenzhen and Hong Kong, it is not a good location to stay although Metro system now connects from nearby hotel to SZ downtown.
Overall, my stay at Garden Inn Baoan was okay, nothing special. I would expect higher standard service should I plan to stay this property again in the future.

I selected this hotel for two reasons: First, it is a Hilton property, and second, because of its location "15 minutes from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport", as described on the official hotel website. On the first item, I was not disappointed, as the service and facilities were all up to the standard I would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. Also, the lobby bar was a relaxing place to get a drink after the day was done. However, the website needs to be changed -- the hotel is approximately 35-45 minutes from the Shenzhen Airport terminal, depending on traffic. There is no way you can get there in less than 30 minutes, never mind the 15 minutes stated on the website. Management, please change this! Otherwise, I recommend the hotel for those staying in the Bao'an / Dongguan area.

I arrived at this hotel after a very long day flights delays and more flights and more delays at about 1230am as a Hilton gold member I expected to whisked thru the Check in process and be in bed by no time. Well I was in for a big surprise. The check in person was giving me a hard time when I arrived to my room I was greeted by ROACHES yes the ones that have many legs I went back to the reception my room was changed but the ac didn't work it was 130 am already needed to catch some sleep had to be in my feet early but couldn't the room was hot the shower no pressure the bed Chinese hard lots of noise of construction from outside of this hotel.
THIS HOTEL IS GIVING A BAD NAME FOR THE HILTON BRAND.
And is way overpriced.
If you want a good night sleep do NOT stay at this hotel.
In my 20 years of travel this was the first time I had ROACHES in my room if I would have time I would have left this hotel immediately.

A cozy hotel with friendly staff, efficient process and clean rooms. Breakfast selection is excellent and they do provide takeaway coffee/tea. I love HGI’s.. this one is pretty solid but showing wear. Rooms were nicely lit and bathroom was clean and not showing signs of water damage like other hotels in the area. Limited options for TV..as are most hotels in China.
Bed was comfortable and bedding was soft. Towels showed signs of overuse and should be replaced. Restaurant had lots of options and food quality was pretty good for a HGI.
Stayed one night on a business trip...so no review of a lengthy stay. For one night, it was perfect.

Too cheap to turn down the AC so room is hot. Mine stays at 24 after a full day that I had it set at 19. One of my coworker’s room stayed at 25 so she couldn’t sleep the first night. Second day we asked for hotel to fix but what they did was stupid: they opened a window and room stayed at 25 just more humid. We asked them to fix then went out for dinner. 3 hours late we came back to a hot and humid room of 25 degrees so hotel moved her to a different room. I asked for you be comp night, hotel refused. Will take this up with Hilton group. This place is subpar. Oh, ugly water stain on carpet outside bathroom.
Stay away from this dump.

I believe the expo center is a MTR stop away. $2 by metro. Taxi may be less than $20. But I found other hotels surrounding expo center may be better choice for you. Hope this help.
Dear Johnson,
Thanks for your message.
Please see below suggestions for taking high-speed train,,
1- GZ East to SZ North, take metro line 5 to Qianhaiwan then change to Line 11 to Shajing station.
2- GZ East to SZ West, take metro Line 1 to Qianhaiwan then change to Line 11 to Shajing station.
3- GZ East to Futian Station, take Line 11 to Shajing station.
Option 3 is highly suggested. If you need other assistance, please let me know. Have a good day!
Dear Sir, sorry to tell you that there is no shuttle bus provided from airport to hotel but you can get the regular taxi easily form the airport. It may takes you about 30 mins around RMB100 by taxi. By the way, there will be No. 11 metro provided from 6:30am to 11pm, our hotel is at the Shajing Station. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Well the convention center is downtown Shenzhen and the hotel close to the airport which is at least 45km / 45min away without trafiic which is unlikely to happen...
I would certainly plan 1h to 1h30
If you travel via Shenzhen airport, it should be fine for in/out this hotel. If you are coming from Guangzhou or Hong Kong airport, it is too far, better choosing other hotels in Guangzhou or in Hong Kong.
If you are for business trip in Shenzhen and want to have a sight seeing in Hong Kong after work, this hotel is too far away from Hong Kong, from this hotel by taxi, it takes around one and a half hour arriving the border, then take another hours to Hong Kong City.
By the way, this is a nice hotel if you need to work nearby. It should be fine for walking and eating around.
