Our tai chi group stayed at the Meilian City Holiday Hotel for the second time in three years. The rooms we had in 2017 were generally clean. I also remembered the delicious breakfasts in the revolving dining room every morning. However, two years later I/we stayed in a filthy room with no option to change as the hotel was fully. The hallway carpets were dirty. I bitterly complained about the room condition and told the staff they barely offered a 2 star hotel. At one point two front desk staff came up to the street facing room to see the dirt on the floor and mildew growing by the A/C. This hotel desperately needs renovation! We were given an air filter machine for the room but I still slept with my face mask on. Unfortunately the air outside is polluted so opening the window wasn’t an option. I travelled three times to China in 1985 escorting American tourists when tourism was just beginning. Our rooms were cleaner then! I’ve been in China three times since 2017 and this was the worst hotel room I stayed in! In fact it was the dirtiest room I may have ever been in! I will only return if management guarantees that their rooms have been upgraded, thoroughly cleaned and refurbished. It’s central location is great but any traveler to Wuhan has other hotel choices. Beware the room you may be assigned! The only redeeming amenity: a sumptuous breakfast in the revolving restaurant.

The good points first: The reception was nice. In a streak of 10 hotels, this was the first time the receptiondesk was not disgruntled when i showed up early, because 'my room is not ready'. (as if i would even insist on a room when i show up early) they even gave me a different room that was ready, without me asking. So great work Amy. Now the bad stuff: The Room was supposed to be a none smoking room (as was even written on the door, but it stank like an old ashtray and the Noise from the street was audiable to the point, where it was hard to sleep. It seems that in the past this hotel had a spa (that was partnered with it). well this spa does not exist anymore, the floor is only a ruin including the Gym. I am unsure about the tenniscourt or the pool, both are closed off. Most of the stuff in the room was in disrepair or very old. the bed was so uneven it might as well be a globe, All in all, i would not with this on a prison inmate. All in all, this hotel has seen its best days long ago. And as mentioned above the only saving grace was the nice reception.

27 floors high with a revolving restaurant at the top. Beds are comfortable and the buffet breakfast was wonderful ...bithe western and Chinese. Great views from the restaurant which is on the top floor.

Arrived at Wuhan rail station from Yueyang late after a hour ride on the HST. ( high speed train) . We were directed by the hotel to take the subway on Line 4 from the Wuhan Railway station and then changed to Line 2 for XunLiMen Metro station for a total Metro fare of 4 RMB . Once arrived at the Metro station , proceed to Exit Gate A . Then proceed direct toward the tallest building on the same road . The hotel still has the Holiday Inns hotel neon sign on top of its building . Check in was swift and the room was fairly big with carpet. Breakfast was on the 27th floor with a mixed variety of Chinese and western food . The Pedestrian Walking street is just behind the Metro station of XunLiMen with the RT-Mart signboard on its building . Catching the airport bus the following day to the Wuhan airport for Singapore. The Wuhan airport shuttle bus stopped and picked up passengers in the front of the hotel every 30 minutes for an hour bus ride for 17 RMB per pax . Good value . Overall the hotel is not bad for 338 RMB including breakfast for 2 .

Hotel room was dirty. Carpet in room and hallway was filthy. Air conditioning did not work. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even with the inexpensive price. The breakfast was good and there was nice view from the upper floor dining room.

Room was fine. Dated lost in time but clean and staff were helpful. Lovely piano in front entrance. Street food just outside the hotel which is a huge plus and locals really enjoy having a western person around. Though street food prices seem to change daily based on location and person serving

Big hotel in city center. The rooms are quite large. Comfy beds. New carpets are needed, though. Breakfast served in rooftop restaurang with a nice view. As mentioned, great streetfood just outside the hotel.

This 'holiday inn' was just ok. Room was relatively clean (for china). Room was small and averagely appointed. Bathroom was cramped. The room was cramped but functional. The best thing about this hotel is the amazing street food that is available outside the hotel after 10pm. The dumplings are especially good.

The hotel is quite big and has a nice breakfast resraurant on one of the top floors with a great view in different locations, since the resraurant is built like in a circle shape. The choice of food is quite ok. The rooms are rather spacious but the interior is a bit old. The staff is very friendly and found me a very big room, when I just asked for a more quiet room. The location is convenient close to the metro, restaurants and a shopping mall.

Business trip to Wuhan for a night stay and the hotel was booked by partner. Therefore, didn't done any research before check-in. The hotel located at central of Wuhan and easy access for food, shopping and MRT station. We booked for Standard room and surprised that, room only come with twin beds instead of king bed. But we ok for that as we only stay a night here. After step in to room, you will felt like the hotel like no refurbish before since built. All furniture like old style and the carpet like a lot of haze. Make me felt like oh no. Luckily, we just stay a night here. You may find better than this.
