It’s a one night stay for us . We chose this hotel knowing it’s close to a subway with 3 lines interconnecting but we end up taking the cab since it’s inexpensive and easily available . It’s a dated hotel but maintenance is top notch and so is the standard of housekeeping and not forgetting the attentive service from the team of concierge staff . It’s a great stay, and we will be back !

Shangri-la Wuhan was very nice, and accommodates well. Renovation has occurred, so it's dated in places. The staff is wonderful! Appreciate the service and efficient facilities of the Shangri-la! Hoping to return to Wuhan soon and staying at the Shangri-la hotel!

We enjoyed the attentive and kind staff at the Shangri-La. The rooms are well appointed with comfy beds, nice furniture and the air conditioning kept the room frosty which was nice to have in China. I appreciated how quiet the hotel and area were. The pool and fitness area was very clean with lots of new equipment. The sauna and steam room were also very nice but I felt the steam room was too hot at times. The hotel is very centrally located, has a convenience store and McDonald's attached and is about a five minute walk to Xianggang Road metro station. The only let down was the breakfast. There were quite a few options but most items were kind of bland. There was some good bread, fresh juice and the coconut muesli were tasty. They had processed cheese most mornings but on the Sunday they put some brie in the case.

traveled to Wuhan to see a friend after spending the entire year of 2020 in Shanghai. Knowing the brand name and what to expect I was confident it would be a good choice but it exceeded my expectations. Service was excellent and the hotel was fantastic, especially the room that they assigned me as a free upgrade. Using the Horizon lounge in the evening was good, with drinks on the house until closing time and a buffet from 6-8pm. Not into gyms or swimming pools myself but the lounge was spot on for what I was there for. Breakfast was very good as you would expect here but what impressed me the most was the service and how welcoming the hotel is. I will be back next time I am in Wuhan. If you are travelling to Wuhan, this hotel is superb value for money and really easy to get to - less than 20 minutes from Hankou via Metro. I have stayed in a few of the other top rated hotels here but this is by far the best.

The location of Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan is really convenient, and it is like less than five minutes of a walk to from the subway station. Personally, I think this hotel is a bit outdated, but it’s still really good. Very efficient front desk agents, very speedy check in. As a Marriott associate, I feel like I might even have to learn something from them. Attentive and helpful. Very caring management, always willingly to go above and beyond. The breakfast is very recommended. It’s obviously a five star hotel, don’t even know why Google has it listed as a 3 star. What’s the beef there?😂

Unless you are attending a conference here, look elsewhere. You can find better hotels at the same price or better in Wuhan. I’m more of a Marriott person, but I decided to try this out because I’ve heard many great things about this brand, but I’m very disappointed. This hotel probably looked great in early 2000s, but it’s looking very tired and dated. No electronic outlets by the bedside, this tells you how old the hotel is. I don’t mind an old building, but hey, for how much you charge, you should really put the money back to renovate, this is called the cost of doing business ( I used to work at a hotel that looks almost identical to this one, also a big chain, same issue, walking into this hotel reminded me of the good old days, kudos to ppl who are running this place, not an easy job to do. But plz convince your owner to renovate).

Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan 5-9 August 2019 Arrived at 3 pm and reception was pleasant and efficient. The room 1820, was as requested and met the expectations of a Shangri-La. It was clean, fresh, well appointed and spacious. The bathroom is a good size for two, and has a bath and a separate shower. Ammenities are as per normal Shangri-La standard and very good. Perhaps they could provide more than two water bottles, as tap water is generally not ok to drink. Wifi is complimentary with our room and worked well. The location is central and close to good transport such as taxis, buses, and there is a nearby subway station. The only drawback was that the hotel is being refurbished and it was a bit noisy and inconvenient. The hotel is a typical Shangri-La with good services in all areas, as one would expect from a Shangri-La. Overall a pleasant stay and would consider staying here next time when in Wuhan. Thank you.

I stayed in a suite and found the staff helpful and very efficient! Great food in the specialty restaurants! Breakfast lacked smoked salmon and croissants! But, wonderful table service and helpful attitude! Room interiors are very dated and on the boring side. NO SWIMMING POOL!
