Rooms are decent but there’s a major flaw to this hotel: noise. The windows don’t seem to be noise-proof. My room was facing the main road and the traffic was clearly audible. Slept badly for two nights and then didn’t bother with the third night.

Stayed here for one week and found it a comfy and quite hotel. The rooms are spacious and have great showers. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel included a breakfast buffet of a wide selection of Chinese food, including a few noodle bowl options. Also some minor western food.. but why bother when the noodles are so good! I was very happy with my stay and it was certainly one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at in China. There’s a large shopping mall about 10 mins walk away and also a nice coffee shop on the main floor and handy convineance store next door. Maybe a 20 minute walk to the geoscience university campus, so very convenient if you are heading there.

If you wish to transist and get away to Wuhan town for several hours. It s a good idea to leave your baggage at the airport. Left luggage services are on Flr 4 near gate A (domestic area) Medium size luggage is charged 20 yuans per 12 hours. Office hours is from 8am til 8pm. They do not speak English. Try memorizing basic Chinese before proceeding here.

Stayed here for 1 week. Very efficient check-in. Great accommodation - large double with sitting room. Extremely clean and very good housekeeping. Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner had great choice and very tasty. Dining room staff and restaurant manager were very helpful. Considering the city was flooded during our visit, the hotel staff ensured we were safe and well looked after.

a 3 star business hotel, stable wifi but forgettable F&B provision and standards. central location with easy access. Economical for the level of service rendered. Rooms are acceptable and average amenities. The only reason i enjoyed the stay is the stable WIFI provided in the room.

I stayed here two nights in February and had to check out early due to noise which seemed to emanate from a nearby factory - it sounded like metal hitting metal every 10 seconds. I stayed in the back of the hotel. I had jet lag so managed to get to sleep each night. My Chinese colleague, however, the second night, didn't get to sleep until 4 a.m. Thus, we moved. The hotel itself, however, is very nice. The rooms are very westernized. No different from a Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza. The breakfast is 99% Chinese. The only thing western was three types of cereal and eggs and toast. Got pretty boring after two days. The Chinese selections for both breakfast and dinner were varied. I did enjoy dinner. Just don't expect anything western for dinner. It is in a good location. If you walk out of the hotel, turn left and go one very long block, you arrive at a circle with a large shopping mall and McDonald's on the right, 1/4 the way around the circle..

It may be showing its age, even though it is only a few years old, but location wise, the Beacon is well placed for ease of acccess to restaurants and shops. Room was well appointed and a decent size and as others have commented, there is road noise to the front. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and our taxi took some persuason to pull up outside the hotel and not on the road so you you will have to lug your cases to the reception 2 floors up so best to avoid a trek from the road. Staff very friendly, hotel clean and food decent enough. Not on a par with 5 stars in Shanghai, but this is Wuhan in expansion phase.

although the thermostat was not working well and room was stuffy, i checked in late and had no patience to deal with front desk since i was very tired. Room itsself was comfortable, well lit, and comfortable king size bed. I was facing the main road so a little noisy, which didnt bother me that much. seperate shower from toilet, and very good water pressure and hot water. breakfast starts at 7 am, and would have liked some more variety of cold cereals, like kellogs frosted flakes, and perhaps some more fruit in season like strawberries and lychees. Fresh gorind coffee machine would be a good investment for hotel in place of keeping instant coffee hot in an urn, especially for fresh ground cofee addicts!
