I enjoyed two nights at Novotel in Suzhou. The breakfast is fantastic and the hotel is modern and very well looked after. The staff can speak English. The metro is next door and a short trip into the older part of the city on the same line, very easy! You can walk to get to the city center for dinner and can experience the beautiful Jinjihu Lake at night. I didn’t have enough time to explore everything I wanted to, so I’ll definitely be back!

The hotel is next to the exhibition grounds, just a few mins walk. It's also walking distance to the Jinji Lake, and a mall nearby with a railway metro station exit (Line 1) just next to the hotel entrance. Huge lobby with friendly service, from front desk to housekeeping and concierge. Especially the concierge, as I sent over 20 packages from my online shopping on Taobao to the hotel before my arrival and they were so organized they managed to get them out for me in minutes and sent it to my room. The room is big, comfortable for 2 to share with a separate standing shower and toilet. The bed is firm but I found the pillows too soft. The water pressure of the shower head was a bit weak too.
The hotel also has a decent sized gym and a heated lap pool. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering international usuals like bread, pastries, sausages and also local favs like porridge and noodles live station. Overall a great hotel especially for the price we paid.

Loved this hotel as a weekend getaway. Enjoyed the view, comfy bed and all the sites nearby. Found a great german bierhaus with a stunning outside patio and beautiful view of the lake with authentic german food! My trip was in 2017/2018. Visited the hotel on at least 2 occasions- enjoyed my stays very much. Professional staff, no problems with check in or checkout.

每年2-6週住房！但這次⋯⋯ 第一天，早上07點開始施工無任何事先告知！ 週末早餐，飯店超賣早餐卷給附近居民，造成房客需要排隊等待29分鐘吃早餐！ 最後一天，門口登記竟然看人登記！最後竟然叫我滾！ 夠了！不敢領教！ Stay for 2-6weeks per year. But this time... First day, early morning construction without any notice! Weekend morning, hotel oversell the breakfast tickets caused guest took the line for 29mins! Last night, the janitor said Beat it! Fxxk! I’m sick of it. No more!

This was a great spot - spent two nights here and was very impressed. Great bed, great view and service. Fair price for what you get …but make sure you fill up for breakfast as it is CNY100. The staff are good and efficient. Close to the metro for a run into the canal area

Did a booking for 5th of June and sent an email to the hotel beforehand via the email address stated on Accor website and my booking confirmation (h9442-re1), asking questions about our stay. However, I never received a reply, until now. It is unfortunately a common sight that Accor hotels in China do not surveille their email accounts that are stated on Accor website, but use other local provider's email addresses. (i.e. I never received answers from Novotel Moganshan, Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, etc.). Only in Shanghai the hotels check. Given that the Novotel wants to act as a high end address in Suzhou, it is unacceptable that they do not want to engage with customers via official communication channels and just ignore all inquiries. I cancelled the stay due to this unpleasant experience.

No service at all. the hotel has drifted on the money side. they focus on mass revenue. the food is the cheapest and most disgusting you could find. the hotel provides no value added. it's just cash machine avoid it.

Best location for enjoying a walk around the lake. Good service, clean with a good breakfast spread. The club lounge is nice with plenty of food and a decent alcohol offer. The room is comfortable and well renovated, especially on the 8th floor.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days, and had a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable and very clean. I had a wonderful view of the east gate, which was stunning when lit up at night. Food in both the buffet and restaurant was very good. Great location.

On arrival at 3 pm, reception was professional and efficient. Above average for Novotel. The Recption area is large and modern with a funky atmosphere.
The room, 8039, met our expectations. It was fresh, clean and well appointed. It has a spacious sitting area and a nice outlook over the surrounding areas. There is also a coffee machine with reasonable coffee pods.
The bathroom is large and has a big shower, though no bath as per normal Novotels.
Wifi was complimentary and generally worked well. It tended to dropout at times but generally works better than most hotels.
Breakfast is available but we didn’t try it due to business meetings with our host.
The location is good and it’s easy to get transport to the central part of town, as well as the touristy Cannels areas. There is also a subway station next to the hotel.
The only negative was the checkout experience, which was slow as we needed an invoice.
Overall this was a good hotel experience and I would consider staying here again. Thank you.
