i stayed in the hostel for 2 days , the environment is quite good (old building). The hostel has a good location , able to travel to several tourist spots. I stayed at the second floor (no lift), in a room with 4 people , the bed still ok , the aircon rather weak (seems like no aircon ), but...

Nothing special, and the room was a bit dingy and not well insulated. Outdoor seating was relaxing and we enjoyed the breakfast. Close proximity to Shantang is nice, and while it's easy to arrive via the metro, the hostel isn't particularly close to the gardens.

I can't say much about the hostel, because I've only been to their café, right behind the hostel, at the canal. Simple and quiet, they serve the usual choices of coffee (Illy!), teas and simple snacks French fries or tuna wraps. It's handy if you long for a coffee and silence while visiting the area.

When we entered, there was an awfull smell on the reception. Asking for doing the laundry thay show us a place that even a old storage room was cleaner. And I even don't talk about the fleeces I found. even I paid for 2 nights, I left after the first one...

We stayed here 3D2N by sept 2014. Just inside Shangtang street. We love this historical house. We live at 3th area. There is a garden yard in front of our room. When there was raining the atmosphere was wonderful. The room condition is so so. But the floor was extraordinary dirty. They no supply any toiletries, even toilet roll (...

I stayed in this hostel for 2 nights during Chinese New Year, Jan 2014. The hostel didn't live up to the pictures online and the service was generally poor. When we checked-in the reception staff were unwelcoming and useless when answering our questions about the area, the girl couldn't even help with providing information on getting to the popular sightseeing...

I have seen a lot of comlaints about bad service provided by the hostel, however I wouldn't say much about that, based on what I have experienced and seen, I think the staff are quite helpful. There's a common area in the backyard behind the front lounge, since it's not air-conditioned in the winter it's really cold sitting there on...

This hostel is located in the nicest part of Suzhou (from what we saw). Overall, we were dissapointed by the city as it is very hectic and not nice to walk around, other than in the gardens (which we though were overpriced). However, we were very pleased with the hostel and the help and service they offered, and it is...

I stayed in this hostel for two nights with a fellow backpacking traveler in November of 2012. The hostel is in a cute ancient (i think to most ancient) building in a very beautiful canal street. The rooms and hostel ground surely have a great atmosphere. Our private room with twin beds was clean but the A/C could not really...

I stayed on night at this hostel in Suzhou. I chose this hostel as it was listed in Wikitravel, being "centrally located", which depending on your perspective, it seems more to be in the outskirts of central Suzhou, far from the main sites (Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, etc.) First, the staff were not too friendly nor welcoming. I first...
