This hotel is one of the gems of Qingdao maybe not the most glamorous hotel but it's a great hotel. The staff gets you and know to anticipate all your needs. Service is exceptional all around the room well equipped the bed comfortable the show very good. Check in and check out is super efficient and quick. Breakfast has a great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Happy hour at the executive lounge is great with a great selection of food. The staff of the executive lounge are amazing especially Maggie that will always go far and beyond to make you feel at home.

I am impressive with club lounge which provides various foods and drinks in happy hour daily and excellent service. Happy hour has 6 main courses including seafood, chicken, fried pork with spicy seasonings, and steak and a lot kinds of desserts, fruits and drinks. Pool was spacious and heated. Marriott platinum members and above can have free breakfast buffet in restaurant daily. Next to metro station Dunhua Road by walking 7 minutes.

We had a very pleasant night here in July 2020, in spite of the Covid-19 situation. Overall, the hotel was excellent. It is starting to look a little retro (perhaps intentionally?) --- a DVD player in the room, for example, seemed to be a bit of a throwback. :)
The pool was lovely. The main restaurant was also fantastic. The room was beautiful -- the TV in the bathroom was a nice touch, but a pity it didn't work. :| Apart from that, it was an excellent room. :)
Because of Covid-19, the executive lounge was closed, but we had a reasonable Happy Hour in the main restaurant. We also had an excellent breakfast there.

Club level room had a broken pendant light. No room service menu (or QR code) in the room although my associate told me that the room service menu had NO western food options (not even the classic club sandwich or burger). Restaurant had only buffet for dinner with very limited western food options. Fitness center/gym had 24-hour access for guests (good), but at 6 am no towels and no cups for water.

Old and tired hotel. The food selection at breakfast and happy hour has gone down extremely maybe they got a new food manager. Service is good check in and check out was quick and efficient the shower is ok the bed is comfortable the furniture and equipment is old tired and outdated

Not a 5 star standard. This hotel has nothing to do with the standards of other Le Meridien Hotels I have stayed with. Rooms need to be renovated! I cannot judge the Chinese breakfast buffet, but the Western breakfast buffet was a disaster (No cheese products, no varieties of bread, etc.)! I have booked a room with lounge access, but the lounge is a joke! The opening times are changing daily, earliest was 11:30am, closing at 9pm (lights were turned off even when guests are still sitting there! You only get some snacks, beer and wine between 5:30pm and 7:30pm! Definitely not worth the money! Executive lounge, hotel bar and all restaurants (except the one serving breakfast) were closed!

Right from the minute, I arrived at the hotel, it was a challenge. It was around 4.00pm and there was a long line waiting to be attended by the reception staff. Only 2 of them were attending to the people in the line. I staff was busy on the phone and another 2 of them were just loitering behind the reception. I asked concierge where is the club lounge. He did not even know what is club lounge. Finally figured my way to the club lounge to check-in as Im a lifetime Titanium Elite member. Food & drinks for Happy hour at club lounge were horrible. It would have been if they never served it.
The next morning at breakfast was another horrible experience. The food was medicore and no one spoke English. Even the signs at the food were all displayed in English. I have stayed at so many properties none made me frustrated as this one. The service was really bad and the staff made it look behaved unhappy. If you do not speak Chinese you would be equally frustrated.

The location was right next to a couple of large malls. One mall right next to the hotel had outdoor events going on the whole weekend. You can hear singing and the MC hyping up the crowd repeatedly. I could hardly work in my room because it was noisy. The room was too dark to work so I worked in the business center which closed at 9pm. No one helped with my luggage on my way out. I had 2 suitcases.

Arrived 7:30pm and the bar was closed. Restaurant was closed. Room service option was fried rice. Air conditioning could not go lower than 24C. Bar fridge was not working. Overhead shower not working. Le Meridien, are you a 1 star or 5 star hotel?

Largely generic feel except the new starwood group chez longe. Staff are polite and generally helpful.
Everything in its usual place and fairly well stocked with power sockets, let down by non-functioning air conditioning (repaired swiftly by an efficient but unkempt oil covered engineer), and faulty power socket; iron; and hot water kettle, no coffee (un-replenished from the previous guest's use)
Main buffet offers fairly decent Chinese food all day. International breakfast options are poorly executed (especially eggs, e.g. "poached" =hard boiled) .
There is a sushi section which features a chef who has clearly never had sashimi (Have a look at the photo to see how he served it)
Oh and revolting coffee throughout the hotel.
Room service was awful. Might have been a bad menu choice, but given the other on site food experiences, I decided to stick with 'local' fare. Pork and prawn wontons turned out to be only 3, just pork, luke warm, sitting on a brim full bowl of noodles in tepid water, adorned with 3 dangerously old looking /smelling / tasting king prawns.
There are certainly better options in Qingdao.
