Upon arriving at the hotel I was surprised with how smoothly they made the check in and handled all my questions, especially in light of the fact that we have just come out of a covid lockdown and in many places foreign travellers are seen as a bit of a difficulty, but not here! I was always made to feel very welcome.
Most of the staff I met spoke at least a little English and some a lot! I stayed 3 times over successive weekends in June 2022 and twice got an upgrade.
The room is kind of standard and some may say a little old but its clean and the shower is powerful and all the plumbing works well. Some little exras like fruit, beers and even a handwritten welcome letter were supplied. The breakfast I found to be good if basic but nearby there were also many other options so I didn't have the breakfast every time. The bar wasn't to expensive either. The location is also pretty good with easy links to some nice beaches, an entertaining night life and the tourist spots all in easy reach. I look forward to staying there again even though I have been told there are better otions I don't think they would beat this place for friendly service.

free internet was provided
breakfast was fair, although the quality of service needs improvement
airport shuttle from the hotel to the international airport was 30
If you stay here at reasonable price for business purpose only, this hotel would deserve consideration.

This is a good business hotel with an in-room computer and fax. It is across the street from a couple of ATM's. A business room was RMB958 ($125) incl breakfast. I got a kick out f the Panasonic combo bidet/toilet in this upper end hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We arrived late at night. Service staff donot speak English. The lobby is huge and have European paintings on the walls. There are also some Chinese woodwork on show near the lobby on the way to the elevators. It gives a rich look. The rooms are large and fancily decorated. The shower & toilet area is clean and comforting. Although breakfast is mainly based on Chinese food, you can find couple satisfactory dishes. Probably it should be one of the prime hotels in Qingdao. It is about 50 minutes far from the airport. I recommend this hotel to Qingdao tourists.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our business trip to Qingdao. The hotel looks pretty nice with a good sized lobby and a nice reception. The rooms r very nice and spacious enough. Most of all, the bed is very very comfortable. All the staff r friendly and breakfast has a good menu for an international breakfast. Pretty satisfied with this hotel and will definitely book this on my next visit to Qingdao.

I stayed there a few times over the last few years due an agreement with our company. It is one of the "older" international hotels in that area and so it looks and is the interior. The rooms are not really special but clean and ok if you spend most of the time outside. Compare with other hotels in Qingdao and this price class the rooms are "big".
The buffet in the restaurant is average at best. Anyway, most of the guests are Asians and the for most of them quantity is more important than the quality.

Completely out of order. Worst buffet I have ever had. Insect in food! No service. I not sure how the 5-star rating is still valid. It may be used to be a decent hotel but really now falling apart. Cheaper but not value for money

We rolled into the hotel lobby around 10pm and checked in with no problem, but the fact that I knew Chinese helped with the checkin. The hotel room was not as clean as I hoped it would be. I came into the room with the smell of heavy cigarette smoke even though I asked for a nonsmoking room. They had the complimentary water, toothbrush, and soap, which is all standard. What I didn't enjoy was the side of 50rmb condoms next to my bed. It made me question the quality of the hotel i was staying in. What made it worse was all the hookers in the hotel lobby that me and my girlfriend encountered while going up to our hotel room. These hookers work at the inhouse massage parlor, but you can clearly tell that they were offering a different kind of service.

Besides the service, this hotel is in the heart of Qingdao. It is right next to the financial district as well as the bars and restaurants. Unfortunately, it is a bit far from all the sight seeing attractions, which was the reason why I visited Qingdao.

To end on a good note, 2 of the 3 concierge i asked help for was very helpful. They knew their stuff and was very willing to help me.

After reading mixed reviews and developed second thoughts about the hotel, I decided this was still the best option within my budget. I arrived at the hotel at 2am and was quickly shown to my room. The room was great - comfortable king bed that has views of the sea. Location wise this place is also good. It's withing walking distance to Mykal, a shopping mall and taxis are easily available there. Food wise the hotel is adjacent to a row of eateries and if you like a stroll after dinner, the walk to the Binhai Pedestrian Street along Taiwan Road is only 10 minutes away.
I will definitely stay here again if I visit Qingdao again.

We loved Qingdao--the air is fresh, the water is beautiful, and there is enough history here to satisfy one's curiosity. The hotel is in the center of town, but not near the water, so for beach lovers, it's best to stay elsewhere. However, the rooms are lovely, the hotel restaurant is very good, and the staff is extremely cordial. We had a wonderful dinner of seafood--barbequed right before us, with a great deal of fresh fruits, and Chinese and western items to choose from. We thought the dinner was a bargain considering the quality and quantify of the food at the hotel restaurant.
