There was an improve in the service of this hotel since the last time. The hotel is a little "old" in comparison with some new options, but the location is excellent if you want to visit Huangdao "downtown". There are shoppings and restaurants nearby.
Rooms are big and well equipped. It counts with indoor pool and gym.

I love this hotel. It is just across the street from a shopping mall and behind it are many restaurants. Most hotels in Huangdao are off the beaten path and require a taxi to do anything.
The housecleaning staff here is so friendly and efficient I didn’t want to leave.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. No room service but you really don’t need it as the grocery store is just across the street.
I would like to see a microwave in my room but I don’t expect to.
I hope to go back soon.

This was actually a very nice hotel, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom really nice and I had a very pleasant time staying here. I needed something near the port and this ticked the boxes, opposite the hotel is a shopping centre so very easy to find something to eat, Starbucks opposite too so convenient for the morning coffee. I'm not sure how far this is from the tourist places but for anybody looking to go near the port this place is fantastic. This was a recommendation from a Chinese colleague and I was a bit skeptical as the price was quite low, but when I saw the room I was very surprised, I'd expect to pay double this rate normally for the quality.

Business trip near the port? No need to look anywhere else.

This is a new and nice hotel however; 1) the usual Chinese mentality of “We control the room temperature, not you who pays for the room” prevails. 2) extremely poor sewage design causes sewer gas to fill the bathroom with no window for venting. 3) witnessed kitchen worker actually drop food on the floor and pick it up, place it with the served food. Nasty people. 4) no one speaks English at least no one ever does when I have an issue. Like constantly needed to reprogram my key card.
Why do I stay here? Aeon Shopping Center is right across the street. Haidu Hotel is worse. All the other hotels are out in the middle of nowhere.

Hotel very new, only the main entrance is below standard, the service is good, i wanted the wifi, they delivered a router within few minutes, launndry is not cheap but weel done and in due time.
Bed and bathroom are good, breakfast is so so but good enough.
It is closed to the port and free zone, price is in line with competition and it avoids to return to Qingdao city which is quiet far.
I certainly will return to this place and can recommend it.
The room floor is without carpet which is cleaner and avoid dust!

This is an excellent hotel.
Good things: new hotel with a modern design, very clean, staff is very friendly, comfortable bed, free wireless internet (you need to ask for a router).
After a check-in I left my room for a short time. When I got back there was a plate with fresh fruits in the room. There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. I enjoyed my stay and I just only wished that I could stay there loner.

This hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. This was more like a 3 star hotel. But the lobby was nicely arranged and comfortable. The large room we had was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room had magnificent view! Food was good. The staff was cordial but not very friendly. Very little english understood by the staff so I was happy I was traveling with my vietnamese friend. There was one concern I have...I noticed a purple stain on the pillow case when I turned the pillow over the first night. It didn't make upset so I didn't tell the staff about the stain. However the hotel staff was upset and blamed ME for the stain. To be honest I dont know how the stain got on the pillow. However the hotel staff questioned me for quite a while about how the stain got on the pillow case. They were going to charge me for a new pillow case. My vietnamese friend spoke to the staff and they CONTINUED questioning me about the stain. My first response was just let me pay for the $2 or $3 they wanted to charge me for the pillow case and let us move on. The staff finally said they won't charge me for the pillow case, but be VERY careful in the future. I didnt use any pillows the rest of the stay because I didn't want to be stressed out about damaged property. Interestingly, New Century Hotel was the second hotel we visited on my 15 day stay in Vietnam. We visited 3 hotels after leaving New Century Hotel and had NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH PILLOW CASES OR ANYTHING ELSE in any other hotel we visited! Because of this reason I would not prefer to visit this hotel when visiting da lat in the future.

Rooms are nice and big, but this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Fit and finish is not that good, bathroom fixtures need fixing. Especially, the staff needs to be better trained. Their behavior and attitude is more typical of a 3 star hotel.

Had a week stay in this hotel.

The check in was easy and quick.

I had a room in the 48th floor facing south.

The room was spacy and clean. The bed was too hard and I woke up with a backache each morning.

The weather was beautiful, but cold and windy. Easy to regulate room temperature.
