The staff here were so friendly and helpful, especially Claudia ,and the proprietor's son Richard ,who both went out of their way to make our visit for the carnival very memorable. The location is very good, near a handy supermarket tho the restaurants are limited, unless you like Sopa Mondongo and other local foods. So we bought our own food...

Claudia, Ampara and Antonio were all awesome and very helpful. They helped me obtain palco tickets, told me about the area, and offered some great recommendations. The hotel itself had nice a nice common area for chatting with other travelers. The hotel was in a great location, about 6 blocks from via 40 where carnaval was. There are some decent...

I stayed at Casa Colonial for 2 days to break up my trip from Cartagena to Santa Marta. The room was great with fast Internet, great A/C, and hot water. The staff were really friend but spoke almost no English, so communicating was difficult. They put up with my awful Spanish and were very helpful, so it wasn't too much...

We arrived on a late flight, so needed somewhere to stay in Barranquilla for one night before travelling to Cartagena. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Hotel Casa Colonial! It is owned by a family who were all so friendly (though do not speak English) and helpful. This beautiful old house with lovely courtyard was...

We stayed for the karneval and casa colonial is situated perfectly for this. Its 15 minutes walk to the parade route and that distance is ideal as it puts a little distance to all the ruckus for when you just got back after an allnighter and need to sleep it off. The hotel is charming and the rooms are spacious,...

Everything about Casa Colonial was comfortable, especially the bed! The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. The house itself is a beautiful building with a lovely courtyard on a quiet street. Doña Amparo is an absolute star, so caring and warm, made me feel right at home. She has a great sense of humour too. Unfortunately we could...

My wife and I stayed just one night in the , but wished it had been more. We found a really good deal but the hotel was worth many times more than we paid for it. The room was very very large and well equipped - large comfortable bed, giant flatscreen tv, powerful aircon and fantastic bathroom (as big as...

I went to Barranquilla, Colombia for medical reasons. (Healthcare in the US is all about price gouging money out of patients! and obama care is laughable!!)and i was delighted to find a nice safe place for reasonable rates for my 3 weeks that i stayed. The owner of the place, Amparo, was so friendly. She took good care of me....
