Worst hotel I've ever stayed in in terms of quality of sleep. My room (309) was at the front of the property and throughout the entire night I was greeted with the noise of people talking and, most annoyingly, cars beeping. All night. The sound proofing is terrible and it felt like I was lying in the middle of the...

this hotel in the middle of the town, is great for the price (compare to other places within the walled city) Clean rooms with A/C and friendly. they don't serve breakfast but its ok, as there are lot of places around where you can take one. not a typical place where backpackers hang out. If you ask for any information...

The location is perfectly convenient to navigate the historic walled city and the staff are very friendly and helpful (only one spoke English). That being said, be prepared for lots of noise; noise from within and outside. The courtyard layout of the hotel further amplifies sound. My wifi connection was also very inconsistent. I booked the family room and it...

This review Is for hotel viajero #2. Really good hotel for price. It's almost new so installations are in great conditions. Nights are 100,000 pesos per night and is negotiable if you stay more nights and pay cash. Hotel is perfect to be in the middle of the historic side of Cartagena. Hotel is super clean and rooms nice a...

On two occasions I returned to the hostel on an evening to find my bed stripped, with stuff left on the bed missing. Told by staff that everything (including the bedsheets!) must have been taken by theives. Twice. Either the hostel has the worst crime problem in South America or the staff cover up (frequent) mistakes with some of the...

For the same price as the double with bath they offered us a private suite with kitchen and living room one block away. Fast wifi, clean, quiet, very nice room, no breakfast included. Since the credit card payment wasn't working we left a deposit in dollars until they worked the machine to run our card, we asked them NOT to...

This hotel is located in the old town and the rooms are clean. When travelling with adults, it is indeed a great place to stay. Not so for families since all you have is your room. It also has free wifi and a sort of internetcafe which is free of charge. All day long you can drink coffee, also free....

After 2 nights in the outskirts of cartagena we found this place right in the historic centre. The location and the low pricing are the main reason to go here. It is a good deal as long as you just sleep there: be prepared for a lot of noise. It is unlikely you will not be waken up by 7...

After staying at a "disco hostel" that goes by the same name (Hostel Viajero) we needed to find something affordable and more quiet/clean. Hotel El Viajero was perfect - exactly what we were looking for. It is on the second floor, and has 24-hr. reception, and surveillance cameras on entrance so it is very safe and secure. The staff is...
