We booked a 2-night stay at the Casa de la Chicheria with the expectation to find another hostel/hotel for the remainder of our trip. We liked it so much that we stayed there for our entire stay. I stayed in the dorm room which was clean, the bathroom was always clean even when there were 4-5 girls sharing it. The...

Casa de la Chicheria is located in safer centro Cartagena, not Getsamani. Almost all restaurants and Exito (main grocery store) are within five minute walk. The hostel is small with two private rooms and one 10 bedroom dorm. It is in a quiety neighborhood and the hostal itself is not really a party place and is quiet. The staff (Miriam...

I originally booked a room at casa viena in the Getsemani district and as soon as I arrived I was ready to get out amd look for a new place to stay as it was small, crowded, hot, and poorly maintained. Casa de la chicheria was my answer! It's an old colonial home, in a quiet, convenient location inside the...

This is a great hostel, very clean and chill atmosphere. If you are looking to party I would stay in the Getsemani area, a 10 min walk away. They could benefit with one more washroom and the price of the dorm is a little expensive considering the bunk beds are three-high and air conditioning is 9pm-9am. However, this is by...

This hostel, located 2 blocks from the water in the Old City, felt more like someone's house than a hostel. It was beautifully decorated in a very serene, ocean theme. The dorm room had A/C but i think it was only on from 9PM-9AM. Also, the dorm room had 3 sets of triple bunkbeds which I thought was a bit...

Amazing location! This house is located in the best part of the old Cartagena City, definitely a gem for its location and value. Staff is really friendly, you feel like home here. There are three types of rooms, a private one with bathroom, a semi privet one with shared bathroom and a hostel style room. The house has a small...

This was a wonderful place to stay, especially when traveling alone. It really was a very welcoming place and the staff (gracias Angel and Amelia!) were incredibly helpful and kind. The location is wonderful--I was able to walk just about everywhere I wanted to go but it was in a quieter part of El Centro. The beds in the dorm...

I was staying at La Case de la Chicheria for a couple of days. It is a great place in the historic center of Cartagena. I love this place! The dorms have air con and are big enough. . The private rooms are lovely. The place has nice pool. I warmly recommend to stay there to everybody. The staff is...

Me and my 2 friends stayed here because we read the good reviews it had but we are totally sorry. The place had flying roaches and was dirty. There were ants in our room, which by the way was mouldy and disgusting. We tried to talk to the manager to get a discount and he took 10USD off the 210...
