I really enjoyed my stay at the Black Sheep hostel. It is just the right size, cosy, has a lovely atmosphere, comfy hammocks on roof terrace, chilled movie room, and in a lovely neighbourhood walking distance to bars and restaurants. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful and the Sunday eve BBQ was a bargain. If I could change... More

We stayed here for a few nights in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was very fresh and clean, as were the bathrooms and the level we stayed on, with loads of natural light! There are a few different areas to chill out in, which is awesome as we often find at hostels there tends to be... More

We originally booked for 2 nights & ended up staying 5. Our private room with bathroom was no different to a hotel with a flat screen TV, full cable & the first hot showers in some time..all in all it was one of the best hostel we have stayed in over the last 2 months. At first we thought we... More

thanks for your positive comments we work hard on making sure everyone has a great time here we are located in a quiet street but on several minutes from the metro, supermarket and the zona rosa..a good central spot. and also not being surrounded by bars and restaurants helps us be able to create a bit of atmosphere here, Kelvin More

This place gets good reviews but it's a hostel desperately in need of an influx of cash. I got such a shock when I arrived due to the state of the place. All the rooms need to be painted and loads of repairs, particularly to doors, need to be carried out. Wifi is useless. I ended up always going to... More

Stayed in the black sheep for 3 nights. We booked on the back of a recommendation & some preliminary research into Medellin Hostels. The quality on offer here is exceptional, the rooms & public areas are immaculate & the staff extremely helpful. We were greeted on our first morning by Kelvin, and due to the level of service decided to... More

We stayed here for three nights and it is an efficiently run hostel for its size. It runs tours and trips for people wanting to see Medellin. We stayed in the ten bed dorm, it was surprisingly quiet, it does get quite hot but there is a fan to keep some air flow going. The top bunks are really close... More

I only got to spend two nights here, but the hostel was great. I booked a private single room and was given a double with a TV and really nice bathroom! It was by far the nicest and best value private I stayed in in Colombia. Staff and facilities were also fantastic- so much going on. I wish I could... More

I unfortunately was only in Medellin for 2 nights, but this hostel was a fabulous place to spend the two nights. Even though it is a bit further from Parque Lleras than a lot of other hostels, it more than makes up for it in other ways: it is only 5 minute walk to a big super market, and about... More

Clean, comfortable, good atmosphere and most of all, the friendliest and most helpful staff you will come across on your trip. Each person we met on reception was a pleasure to deal with and they couldn't do enough to help you. Kelvin in particular we felt cared genuinely about how we were doing - he saw us in the street...
