A terrible experience for my family in this family owned hotel. There is no spa, although it says it is a hotel amd spa, the pool is almost non existing, brekfast was a struggle , as there was almost no food and we had to ask for everything. Paint falling from the walls in the room and in the only one common area. There were three of us and we had go share a hand towel. To top everything hot water was upon request, however we were not informed of that. I am in disbelief of it all, do yourselves a favor and never stay here. I attach a few photos.
Clean, safe, quiet spot with friendly staff. Good neighboorhood. Short Uber trip to nearly everywhere went. Great Value. Good books laid out as well - unique, nice touch :) It was a great place to recharge and focus after staying in some other more busier/noisy areas.
The little Boutique Hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood where you can walk at night without worry. It is conveniently located in the city, close to attractions and must see places when you visit Medellin, in Colombia, South America. The included breakfast is delicious, cooked to order and huge selection to choose from. I highly recommend this Hotel for it's individual attention, friendly staff, location and service. If you're visiting Medellin, this quiet little gem, is a real find.
I read the reviews and decided to book with Hotwire. That was a terrible decision. Overall, everything advertised on Hotwire was fake and misrepresented. You will find this hotel in front of a construction site from 7am till 6pm. The hotel itself is like a prison and feels like a prison. Staff does not speak English. No premium bedding, you get a bar of soap, and a 12 in TV, no A/C in the room and no hot water after midnight. You get charged for additional guest who comes to visit you. I do not recommend this hotel at all. It shows a three star but it is a zero star in my opinion. Be warned. Book at your own risk!
Hotel felt more like a bedroom in someone’s house. No iron and the hot water was like warm at best. No AC but the fans were ok. This location is in an residential area so if you are looking to site see you will end up paying daily to have a taxi take you 30 minutes in town. Staff was nice but again we ended up cutting our stay short and getting an hotel in the city within walking distance of everything
I had booked a night + massage + romantic dinner for my boyfriend's birthday and it happened that the same day of my reservation litterally 1 hour before the big surprise, the receptionist called me to say that my romantic dinner couldn't be possible as the cooker had an emergency. I was pretty upset because I planned this night many weeks ago. I don't blame the receptionnist because it wasn't her fault but I would have appreciate any effort to find another solution than just cancel my dinner.
We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very clean (for colombian settings) and are made once per day. After 18 rather exhausting days of travel we decided to take the last few days slower and this hotel (which feels a bit like a Bed & Breakfast) was just perfect for doing so. Except for a few minor issues (missing towes, missing TP) the stay was good. They keep the license plates of taxis for extra security. They offered a flexible check-out time. The location was rather far from the usual places tourists would go to for dinner or sightseeing. The metro is rechable by foot in about 10-15 minutes. The staff speaks spanish only. Nice place for a recreational stay.
I honestly wouldn't class this as a hotel I feel it's falsely advertised, my room is so tired looking. The bed was super hard and I woke up with a bad neck every day. There is a reason it's cheap, it's far from any nightlife or restaurants and a taxi is needed. The most important thing thing for me is none of the staff speak any basic English. I would recommend this place if you're on a budget, want a quiet break and don't mind very basic accommodation.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and spacious, bathrooms spotless and there is even a small (very small) pool with cold water, (good to escape the heat of the mid of the day). At the reception the can be very helpful in getting directions and informations. A small but pleasant front yard is available for a coffee or just for reading a book in the shadow. The best part of the hotel for us was its location: in Colores, a residential district not far from the stadium. Quiet but nice for a stroll even in the evening, at 10 minutes from metro station. Far from crowd of the Center or of El Poblado.
if you are a american do not go to this hotel. i am a disabled ssmc iraqi veteran and was kicked out of this hotel for having a highly trained traumatic brain injury alert service dog. this dog is a real service dog not a fake one. i was also double charged on my room and tried to keep my money as well. also the area seems super run down and hotel has a funky smell to it. if you are a american do not go to this hotel they will try and take advantage of you and over charge you as well. good thing i booked with a american express credit card so hopefully i will receive my money back in a week or so. woman shows absolutely no compassion and is very rude as well. the next block over is in the ghetto and extremely unsafe as well. if you are american do not stay here i promise you will be taken advantage of.…
