We had our wedding in Medellin and had our entire family and friends stay at this hotel and it was the best decision we made! Everything was prefect. From the moment you walk into the lobby everything is so beautiful and everyone is so welcoming. Claudia the director of events is hands down the best coordinator. She made the booking process so easy for all of our guests and was always readily available on site. She let me borrow the conference room for day of make up and hair. The level of customer service here is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced!! The rooms are big and spacious with floor to ceiling windows with the best views of the city! Our guests enjoyed the new rooftop bar and it quickly became the meet up and hang out spot for us. The drinks were delicious (one of the best Espresso martinis I’ve ever had). I can’t say enough about our experience and the ones our guests had. The day after our wedding most of the staff came up to me to ask how it went and how happy they were for me. So many special moments that you typically don’t find at hotels. Their staff truly cares about you and your experience and it showed everyday we were there. Andres, Edison and Juan Pablo who work the lobby are top of the line professionals! We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to go back!! …
This hotel is beyond incredible! From their beautiful rooftop pool where you can see the most incredible city in El Poblado in Medellin. They have beautiful bar, restaurant and lounge area, which has indoor and outdoor seating. On certain nights they have musical performances from singers, guitarist and violinist. The staff is very helpful and professional. This has been my third time at this hotel and I plan to continue to stay here when I visit. The food is delicious and has many options. The hotel is very clean and well-kept. They have a new rooftop bar which was a lot of fun to sit with my friends and enjoy their specialty cocktails. I will give this hotel five stars for overall appearance, professionalism, their staff is very friendly. The location is perfect. Walking distance to Santa Fe Mall. Less then a 10 minute drive to Provenza which is perfect for nightlife and entertainment. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay. …
Yeimis was so awesome!! I did not expect my room to be so lovely! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!! I will absolutely book again
We kicked off three weeks in Colombia with a six- night stay at YLS. There was plenty to like about the hotel: 1. We stayed in a spacious suite--great bed/pillows, 1-1/2 bathrooms, a kitchenette with a full-size fridge, a large balcony with a lovely view and excellent housekeeping. 2. Front desk staff were friendly and several spoke English. 3. A bountiful breakfast buffet was attended by attentive servers, several English speaking. 4. Location--surrounded by high-rise residential buildings, close to several malls and grocery stores, plenty of ATMs within a short walk. The cost to Uber or cab to/from nearby restaurants and even to places like Plaza Botero were incredibly cheap by U.S. standards. That said, Medellin rush hour traffic ranks just below Kampala's! Medellin's wonderful Metro is accessible; the Ayurá station is a 20-minute walk. 5. A Tostao coffee shop is attached to the lobby level: great coffee and pastries. On the downside: 1. Dirty carpeting and scuffed walls 2. Be prepared to wait on elevators. 3. Toiletries--none of which we needed--all had price tags. At a true five star hotel, a modest tube of toothpaste would be gratis. 3. We had an awful meal the evening we arrived at the second floor Nomade restaurant. The food was nearly inedible and the service was indifferent. Odd, because it's the same space used for the breakfast service. Thankfully, there are some wonderful dining options in La Poblado.…
I was traveling to Medellin Colombia for a six night stay in January 2023, while attending a conference. When booking my airline ticket I had the option to choose reservations from among the top hotels in Medellin in which to stay. The York luxury suites really impressed me. I didn’t just get a hotel room, I stayed in a small suite, which included a very comfortable king size bed, a sitting area, and a small kitchenette with modern amenities. Everything is well designed and upscale, clean, well-kept, and functional. It was nice to get up in the morning and say “OK Google, open the curtains”, and watch the curtains automatically open. So many things about this hotel, impressed me, from the multilingual staff, the prompt service of housekeeping, the top quality restaurant that also offered a 24 hour room service menu, laundry service, small workout, gym, and a rooftop infinity pool. I was even impressed that the hotel had connections with a local bank and was able to offer a currency exchange through a courier at a competitive rate, along with a nearby pharmacy, and in-house taxi service. The York Luxury Suites hotel is located in the Poblado District, an upscale neighborhood, with two major malls nearby. This is a relatively safe and picturesque area of Medellin. This is a hotel that’s high on my list of places to stay when I visit Colombia. It is worthy of a revisit. PS special thanks goes out to concierge Mr. Edison, who is most accommodating, helpful, and attentive. Cheers!…
The hotel is spotless and clean, rooms very spacious and comfortable, you’re near to everything and good in the hotel is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful, we are planning to go again!!! Restaurants and mall near your, great place to stay.
Great place to stay in Medellin with nice large rooms equipped with kitchen, utensils etc. Very nice rooftop pool with great views of city. Hotel also has a nice restaurant with lot of food and drink options including vegetarian. The restaurant had live music too. Hotel location is very convenient with easy access to lot of restaurants and bars. Overall a great place to stay, highly recommended.
DO NOT BOOK!! THERE'S NOTHING LUXURIOUS ABOUT THIS HOTEL!!!! We booked the most expensive standard room among all the options given and was assigned to floor 4 with an inferior view, whereas the highest floor is 23. We had to wait for 6 hours to check in. The lobby was packed, and the front desk was extremely careless and unprofessional. They will copy all your credit card and your documents during the check-in without asking for permission. The floor was sticky, as well as the kitchen. They sell condoms in the mini-bar; no drinkable water was provided, and they only had one bathrobe for a double bedroom -- so if you've ever stayed in a decent hotel, you will understand...only cheap hotels do these kinds of stuff. Still, we were charged around 380$ USD for 2 nights. Their employee used the same elevator as the customer and did not wait for the next one when the elevator was full. The gym was very small and old. We were in a hurry during the checkout. The front desk was again very rude and kept asking us if we used the mini-bar. They asked us repeatedly if we drank wine or coke and asked us to sign some documents to promise we didn't. Worst hotel ever. Don't get fooled by their price - they have the facilities of a standard 3-star hotel and the service of a general motel.…
I highly recommend this hotel. Everything was wonderful from the incredible, friendly and helpful staff, the size of the room, the comfortable bed, the water pressure in the bathroom, to the housekeeping and the view. We awoke every morning, opened the curtains and marveled at the mountains. Do not hesitate to book this hotel- I’m a very picky critic and could not have been more pleased. We hope to return asap!
The best hotel you can wish! Everything is clean, new and fresh. The staff is so friendly and wants to do everything for you! WiFi is the best, so for co-working is it also perfect! And breakfast; wonderfully. Couldn’t wish a better place to stay in Medellin!
