Amazing location right in the touristy area next to all the cafes/ restaurants/bars etc. The staff were really friendly and the air con worked well. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to be in the heart of everything.

Avoid this place like the plague. Throughout Colombia we’ve been welcomed with the warmest of greetings. Well that ended abruptly here. The sour faced puss on reception firstly tried to charge us more than the tax stated on the booking. When that didn’t wash with us she tried to charge us for a second person in the room despite our booking clearly starting it was a twin room for 2 people. She didn’t get far with that either. On showing us the room she threatened to charge us if we made the sheets dirty - i’m 51 for heavens sake, not some 15 year old away from home for the first time. 2 days into our stay the same loony came charging after us asking us to sign a disclaimer that if we injured each other the hotel would not be responsible - wtf???? The hotel itself whilst in a great location is a soulless place with nothing much to offer other than to Make you feel the Colombian police will be arresting you any moment because Dracula on reception didn’t like you. You can do better, much better!

This place is crap. I know you may be looking at this hotel & thinking “hey they have great reviews in a central location, let’s check them out!” But this is a mirage. Why? 1. Your booking will say you get free breakfast. You don’t. They lie, it is not included even though it says it is right on your booking. 2. The AC is as effective as a baby blowing hot air in your face. The rooms are intolerably hot. We sat in the hallway for relief because it was literally 10 degrees cooler out there. 3. The bar in the next block plays apocalyptically loud music every single night until 2 am. If you aren’t deaf, you’ll wish you were. 4. The staff are rude, unhelpful and apathetic. The only exception is the smiling lady who works the night shift, she’s lovely. 5. Heard a sex worker getting kicked out of the hotel at 3 am only three separate occasions Not necessarily their fault, but shows the clientele of the hotel. In short, there is simply no reason to stay here. Yes the location is great, but it doesn’t make up for the above. It isn’t cheap, charming, legitimate or unique enough to be worthwhile. There are so many places nearby at a similar price point that are much more appealing. Expected to love this place, yet couldn’t wait to leave.

Located in Poblado (some people said Provenza). Nice area to walk around. Not too far to get to public transport (walk down hill toward city center). Felt safe as many people out and about at all times of day for bars and restaurants. We had room on upper floor facing the street. Good thing about this street is that it is smaller and less noisy. Some noisy neighbors as central staircase which is all tile. No elevator. There is a safe and mini fridge in room. Beds were firm (we like). Staff at front desk was either very nice (2 really nice guys - one younger in afternoon, another more mature in the evening). Or disinterested (varied by person). The staff did arrange for things like airport transfer and recommendation on a day trip. Aside from staff, I give it a 3 for overall feel - it is not luxury. Boutique? Not really? Kind of reminded me of basic and decent tile rooms I've had in China. Some outlets in our room didn't work. Lighting was terrible. Either a blaring overhead light or a tiny desk lamp. With only a little work, this hotel could be much better. I usually take photos - and I don't have any. Which says something.

I loved my beautiful room, with fantastic views of the green hills. Clean room, nice hot shower, soft comfortable bed. Front desk was extremely helpful and gave very good advice about how to get places. Great neighborhood, easy walk to supermarket, bars, main road for buses. Had a wonderful stay and time here.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is in a really good location, beside lots of good restaurants and some shops. No shortage of choice. It's about a 20/25 minute walk to El Poblado metro station. The staff are nice. You would need to have some Spanish as only one of the receptionists had a little English. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, freshly made eggs, toast and tea/coffee on offer. The room was a good size. Comfortable bed. It was a bit noisy at night with loud music playing from bars in the area until late. We had ear plugs and would sleep through noise in any case but something to bear in mind if you're a light sleeper. We would stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 5 nights for a very great price, and the front desk/housekeeping service was good! What we did not like about this hotel: 1- No elevators, so if you have luggage you'd have to carry it up the stairs. 2- Noise level in the hotel was insane (all times of the day and night) a lot of chatter outside the rooms and a lot of doors slamming, especially very late at night, and I do not mean street noise because that was a given based on the room we picked on the street side. 3- Thin Walls, we could hear everything that was being said in the room next to us because walls were very thin. Our room didnt have a balcony, just windows and whenever we tried to open the windows, bugs and mosquitoes would come in. Just wish there was a screen on the windows so we could enjoy the fresh air without having to deal with the bugs. 4- Bathroom was very very small! There was no space or place to leave anything inside the shower, not even a small shelf/ledge to leave personal products and the the shower drainage was clogged so the shower water would backup and create a pool of water inside the shower. 5- No toiletries were offered (just soap dispenser on the walls) nor hand towels (just 2 shower towels and 1 face towel - for 2 people staying in the room) 6- No full size mirror in the room nor a side night table (only one table on one side of the bed). Also mattress was very uncomfortable and the covers were very light. What could be improved: Adding more shelves/space at the sink and in the bathroom/shower. Screens to the windows to protect from unwanted bugs More towels and real toiletries in the bathroom Full size mirror is a must Add another night stand to the other side of the bed I would not recommend this place to anyone as everything in it was subpar!

This hotel is in the Provenza area of Poblado. I stayed here for 4 nights in two different rooms. The first one didn't have a balcony; the second one did. Both rooms had a king size bed and minibar, but no other amenities such as coffeemaker, tea kettle, or toiletries (except for a soap dispenser in the bathroom). The first room had a full-length mirror, but the second one didn't, just a bathroom mirror over the sink. The bathrooms are a little small, with only a bath towel and hand towel. Like most Colombian hotels, they do not provide wash cloths. The shower stall doesn't have a curtain or door, just a partition. In the first room the shower floor was level with the bathroom floor so when I showered, part of the floor got wet. In the second room the shower floor had a little ledge, so the bathroom floor stayed dry. The water was hot and the pressure was good. However, in the second room the temperature would sometimes increase suddenly without warning and I had to quickly adjust the knob to avoid being burned. In my first room I plugged my computer cord directly into the wall. In the second room my laptop didn't fit the wall plug, so I had to use my adapter. This was the only time I needed an adapter in the 5 hotels I stayed at in Colombia. Also, the hotel advertises that the rooms have iPod docks, but I didn't see any. Both of my rooms faced the street and were noisy. There was drilling, street construction, and loud music going on into the wee hours of the morning. I'm a night owl, so I didn't mind, but if noise bothers you, I suggest you bring earplugs or request a room away from the street. There is no elevator and the steps are a spiral staircase, so if you have mobility issues, you may want to request a room on the ground floor (I was on the 5th). The day shift desk clerks spoke English, but the night shift clerks didn't. This is the norm in Colombia and wasn't a problem for me since I speak basic Spanish. If you don't speak Spanish, you should be prepared to use a translation app. All of the staff I interacted with were professional, helpful, and polite. The only major criticism I have is that the hotel automatically charges $9500 COP per day (about $3 USD/€2.6) for insurance. This is not mandatory in Colombia, and none of the other hotels I stayed at charged it. Booking.com doesn't have an option to decline it, so I e-mailed the hotel prior to my stay and asked them to remove the charge from my bill. At check-in, I again requested that the charge be removed and signed a waiver absolving the hotel of any liability should I be injured on the premises. The next morning the desk clerk said the owner was not willing to honor the waiver or remove the charge. Instead, he offered to include free breakfast for my stay. I'm not normally a breakfast eater, but I reluctantly accepted. I only ate breakfast once, so it wasn't an even trade. I think it is unethical for the owner to include a mandatory insurance charge. My guess is that he is making a nice little side income from unsuspecting tourists. I don't support proprietors who deliberately rip off their customers. One final thing: the immediate neighborhood around the hotel looks like a construction zone. The streets and sidewalks are broken up, several sections are cordoned off with yellow tape, and the sidewalks are very uneven. Not the fault of the hotel of course, but coupled with how hilly the area is, you need to step carefully.
