This is a very nice hotel, with very good rooms and a very good breakfast buffet every morning. In a southern area of Medellin. It takes a 5-10-min taxi to get to the area of El Poblado for evening dinners. It's also good value overall, given the price of hotels in Medellin felt more expensive than the rest of the country.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Its convenient location made exploring the area a breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my stay. Unfortunately, I fell sick during my visit, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and accommodated. Their exceptional service truly made a difference.

Since the moment you arrive everything goes wrong: no one tells you how the elevator works, eventhough wifi is included, no one tells you how it works, what services of restaurant there are, you are cheated about food, because on the elevator and on the brochures they give you it says that there is food 24 hours available....and in fact there are snacks 24 hours available, not food, and if you arrive in the border time of closing the restaurant the easiest way to make you go to the bar is that the food you have in mind isn't available. The common areas aren't well cleaned, im now waiting for my time to leave while I write this report in the lobby and I had to clean myself the table because when I arrived there wasn't anyone available. At the time of making my check out, they told me that I owed x money, I asked her to review with me the things we had consumed and surprise.....a blurry invoice, with no room number and with the signature that didn't correspond to my boyfriends, nor to mine....this could be easily a robbery, and it is disgusting for a client to be obligated to be alert all the time....
At last, and the cherry of the pie....yesterday early morning my boyfriend was attacked in the entrance of the hotel by some guys that arrived in a cab, the doorman, or security guy, did nothing just until he saw that my boyfriend was on the floor and the other guys were kicking him....in adittion, when he was inside the hotel he asked for the police to be called....and nothing ever happened, not an apology, a call to see if a medical service was needed, nor nothing....
We will never return to this hotel, a real disaster...

the welcome is very poor, we paid 60,000 COP for early check-in instead of the usual 40,000 COP. I don't know what they will do with the remaining 20,000 COPs. because the officer I spoke to through booking.com told me that early check-in is 40.000 COP. The female receptionist at the reception was very angry, not helpful at all, not friendly. we felt very bad when we entered the hotel. rooms are very small. There is no water in the room. no kettle, no coffee machine, . There is only bed, television, hair dryer and chair. Rooms are as like a hospital’s room.

I booked this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews. It was a great experience. Front desk staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Carlos Eduardo gave me local information to enjoy the area. Breakfast was delish. Room was a little small but it was clean and had the basics. I coordinated transportation through an agency located in the same hotel lobby. They also offered me tour options. Everything went well. I had an awesome time at this property.

It's at the edge of Poblado but if you don't mind taking a cab to the center of the Poblado area then this is a good hotel. I think it's more for the business person as there are many offices in the area and a medical center. It's close to the Mercado Del Rio which is a food hall with beers, various food places, go to the alma cafe for breakfast there if you don't want to pay the 20COP for breakfast at the hotel. Overall, clean hotel and friendly staff. If you use your credit card though, be sure to look and check to see if they are charging you in COP rather than in USD plus a bad exchange rate. They did that to me, which is why I knocked off a star. They do offer airport transportation for a fee, order in advance though if you can.

I did select this hotel without knowing how well located was. Was a great choice. The front desk was very friendly helpful and professional. The restaurant on the second floor had great service too, I went at night just few minutes prior to close and ask for a small fruit plate and they did it without any hesitation. Breakfast was good, all the goodies ... all exactly what I need. The location was good indeed. Quiet zone and walking distance to great food venues. The room was clean and comfy. Bathroom typical Ibis ... love the rain forest shower. Definitely will be my number one choice in Medellin!

It was a great hotel, close to a train station, and close to Mercado del Río a great place with different restaurants. Safe zone, close to the Modern Art Museum, good for nice walks in the afternoon. The food in the hotel was great. Really close to the hotel you can find good restaurants and some groceries stores.

Saludos !! Q distancia es el hotel del Aeropuerto MDE ?
Answer from adamM9455555
Medellin, Colombia8 contributions7 helpful votes
It can take about 45-60 minutes to most parts of Medellin from MDE airport. For now. But, by July-September of 2019, there is a tunnel under construction that should be finished and can get you to Medellin (near Lomas Del Indio or San Diego) in about 18-20 minutes, or so I am told. Poblado is where many of the new malls and (pricey) restaurants are, along with traffic and smog (not like Los Angeles, but getting there, since both sit in valleys surrounded by mountains). Many people are moving to Rio Negro (near airport, but cold, very cold). Others, Envigado, Sabaneta, Laureles, Belen, etc.
