The hotel was beautiful and our room had floor to ceiling windows giving us a beautiful view of the city. Staff were very friendly and were very helpful. The free breakfast had lots of options. I highly recommend staying here.
This was a disappointing experience. We booked this hotel because the pictures of the rooms looked nice and it was over 4 stars. I feel like it was a bait and switch, more like 3 stars. This hotel is very outdated, the rooms look like jails, the bathrooms are not inviting. The rooms have kitchens in them which is all fine, but not necessary and just awkward. The employees don’t speak a word of English, asking for anything as simple as toilet paper took effort. I understand this isn’t America, but the people at the front desk should at least have some basic English knowledge considering it’s mostly vacationers lodging here, not locals. I passed by a room with the door open that was being cleaned by staff and noticed the cleaning lady was just mopping mud into the floor, not really cleaning or disinfecting. I had to go to the supermarket to buy antibacterial wipes and wipe the bathroom down myself - not something I usually have to do when on vacation. The spa looks ridiculous, dirty bath water was sitting in the jacuzzi when I stepped in to check it out. The only worthy thing to note is that the rooms are spacious, but that’s really it. The neighborhood isn’t that nice either and the food looks bad. Never again.…
This is my 3rd staying at this wonderful place which I call my home in Medellin. Hotel Du Parc is a charming and elegant place but made so homey by the wonderful people who work there. Alejandro is one of the most warmest and kindest people I have ever met. Most mornings I was greeted by Cindy who with her sweet and gentle way of being made breakfast even that more enjoyable. Neila and those wonderful omelets she made to your order. Jevinorys and her kind way of treating me and the crew Carlos, Yolays and Didier all gentlemen and always engaged me in conversation. This is how I started my day at breakfast and even sometimes at dinner with these wonderful and kind people. I travel alone all over the world so hotel staff for me that is friendly is important but to be as kind as these people are to me touches my heart. Oh and lets not forget the Doorman Juan and other doormen and front desk staff who all treated me so warm and welcoming. Finally the women who maintained my room and made it home every day for me are so very special to me. If I miss anyone I am so sorry. Rating: ***** This hotel is located in the heart of the Poblado walking distance to restaurants, nightclubs and all the action yet area around hotel is quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is amazing it has a good selection of morning food and it is delicious. The restaurant is open all day and there is a pastry shop as well. I find the area around the hotel to be safe but remember you are in a huge city use city smarts. Finally from the bottom of my heart a huge Thank You to everyone at Hotel Du Parc see you soon. Great hotel. Ive been here for one year. Quiet, clean, comfortable. I recommend this hotel for anyone who is traveling alone or with family to Medellin Colombia. I never made reservations, however, I never left. Two thumbs up to Hotel Du Parc...
Great customer service, which is rare in Colombia, room is nice ,very good location . Now., it is right next to party central and their will be noise and women of the “night”( it is controlled with a fee) coming through. It’s more of a single man hotel than for couples, will definitely not bring a family.
My stay at the DuParc was wonderful! The rooms/bathrooms are large and super nice. Love the bed!! Very quiet. Hotel is very clean. The interior decoration of the hotel is beautiful. Staff was super helpful & friendly; with immediate assistance. I enjoyed the spa on the top floor. As a seasoned traveler, I highly recommend eating in the hotel restaurant, which is an outdoor covered patio. The food was excellent. Portions are large. Cocktails are superb, and eating and drinking at the hotel is very reasonably priced. Normally, I never eat in the hotel, but I give the restaurant, bar & food service 5-stars. During my one week stay, I ate at the restaurant for dinner several times - superior to other Medellin restaurants! The breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel is well located, walking distance to everything and taxis arrive right away. I truly enjoyed my stay at the DuParc. …
We stayed 3 nts at this convenient well-priced hotel. The access and amenities in the area are cool. Location can get noisy but earplugs avail. Rooms are spacious, immaculate and wellkept. Staff were helpful at the restaurant, bakery, salon and front desk. We got set us up with good tours and other recommendations. Specific kudos to Jonathan Castro at Reception and the room cleaning staff who helped us recover some forgotten items! Would def stay here on any next visit!
For 9 days, we received the best of care from the staff including the lovely owner, Claudio, Alejandro at the front desk and Jarline who all were very patient with our attempts at speaking Spanish and relying on apps to help us! EVERY staff member went out of their way to make us welcome! It is located in Poblado, but away from the noise of the vibrant city and walking distance to all that Medellin has to offer. We would return to this lovely hotel in a heartbeat!
I stayed 4 nights. Pros: Good hotel. Very good room. Good location: in Poblado, without the noise. Very good breakfast buffet. Good housekeeping, attentive receptionists. Cons: 1 - My room's window opened into an internal shaft with AC and apparently restaurant engine noise. There was no follow-up after I talked with the reception (and I let the matter drop). 2 - Breakfast is 7-10. When I arrived at 9:30 the food and service were FAR from those at 8:30. I wasnt the only frustrated guest. Items were missing. It took 40 minutes to get my omlette. 3 - I dont appreciate hotels that do not solicit guests' feedbacks, or that do so in a verbally pro forma manner.
I had a wonderful stay for 5 days. The entire staff went out of there way for me. Plenty of hot water and never hassled me over having a guest. Top notch. You money really goes a long way in medellin.
