Nice place, good conditions for the price. Spoiled somewhat by staff trying to charge a higher price than the one in the booking, saying there were 'impuestos'... I reserved on booking.com and the confirmation is quite clear there should be no additional charges.

We liked the gallery and the neighbourhood. The room sucked. We only had two electric points in a 4 bed room, NO curtains and no big lockers. The bathrooms were dirty and there was no room to store Your towel or clothes or toilet stuff. There was also a lot of noise in the night.

nice owner & cool art!!!!! higly recommended! The hostel is in el poblado close to nighlife restaurants bars and cafes. It is clean and modern. The bar at the rooftop invites for nice chillout sessions!

Best things about the hostel were the location and friendly staff. Expected a lot more as for the same money you can get much better and cleaner hostels. Hostel always looked dirty but the staff always seemed to be cleaning. Hostel never smelled clean. Not enough areas to shower for the amount of people present. Beds were clean and comfortable though.

Galeria Hostel is located in a perfect area in Medellin. Many nice restaurants, coffeehouses and bars around. The kitchen, which can be used the whole day, is spacious, good equipped and very clean. The stuff is super nice and gave us helpful recommendations what to do in Medellin. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

The dorm was really smelly and everything in the hostel looks dirty, very run down place. One of the toilets I saw didn’t even have a toilet seat rim, if they don’t bother fixing simple things like that, you know it’s not maintained well at all. I’d stay away, so I didn’t even spend a night there after seeing how dirty it was.

Had the luck to arrive to galería hostel by a recomendation, this place is full of amazing people that would like to share their time and art with you, people is very respectfull and you will get good advice about all you need to know once in Medellín . Got to see a really good gypsy jazz band and had good nights of rest here. Tip:ask about the guatape hostel they have, I was there and it was beyond amazin

The worst, most rude receptionists that I've encountered on my trip. They were so unhelpful and not friendly that made my experience at the hostel feel unwelcomed. They gave me a bracelet with the address of the hostel and it was of the other location (they have two hostels in Medellin) and the taxi driver dropped me off at the wrong one. When I got back to the hostel and told them what happened the receptionist was completely unverved and just replied "oh that's too bad" Futhermore, when we wanted to know about things to do she wasn't keen on explaining anything. Also, the rooms need MAJOR renovation, not all the bathrooms have hand soap and there wasn't hot water.

Basic well decorated clean bedrooms, but have no air flow due to lack of fans. Toilets and showers are cleaned twice a day, so by mid day bins are over flowing and showers are covered in hair and sometimes blood...... Kitchen is basic but has what you need. Severely over priced given the quality of the other hostels in the area.

Incompetent staff, bad kitchen facilities, got stolen our food from kitchen twice, busted receptionist smoking weed in the laundry room, no curtains in room 7, no atmosphere, no toilet seat in bathroom. Has an exito just in front of the hostel, and its close to el poblado.
