We liked the location and our room looked into the lovely tree canopy. but one can here conversations from one room to the next, the walls are really thin. That was no big deal for a couple nights, but might get tiresome for a longer stay.
The highlight of this hotel was its central location and how close it was to a metro train station. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only complain we have is that the breakfast butter and cold items were kept out and at room temperature and the bread selection seemed to be from days before. I asked for laundry service and was very pleased with my clean and folded clothes :)
We stayed there e for 4 nights and they cleaned our room once! They cleaned didn’t clean our room ONCE. I’ve asked the guy at the front desk to send the housekeeper to clean our room he said that they don’t have a housekeeping personal to clean to room and that I needed to requested that much more earlier ( I left the hotel at 9.00AM and I reached back at 8:PM). I wanted then a room change and that was not possible either. The room is super outdated. The AC air direction fin wasn’t there. the lights switch was fixed at a power outlet that wasn’t covered so if you touch it you can be hit by the electricity. At the “restaurant” there was ants in the Juice when asked for other Juice they said the wasn’t any more juice. So all by all a very bad experience. I use to work for 8 year for the Marriott so I know what the standards are.…
We were staying at a friend's house but it got too crowded and we had to find a place for 2 nights nearing the end of our visit. We could choose between NH in Poblado, which was offering a promotion at 80 USD per night, or stay in the area and go to this place, at "Special price" of 55 USD per night. Quick inspection of the room made us choose this one since we were not going to be indoor a lot anyway. Room seemed clean, receptionist was pleasant, and we stayed close to our friend's house. Plus the metro is close and it seemed to be a semi residential area, with little to no outside noise. Everything went fine the first night, although what other reviewers have mentioned is true : - safe did not work and was portable anyway, so that is a useless piece of junk. - fridge seemed like one of those from the fifties, such as the ones you find in Cuba from before the revo. - street is actually quite noisy, except for 4-5 hours in the middle of the night. There are tons of small trucks and motorbikes driving by, and they are noisy. - be prepared for the bare minimum in the bathroom : no shampoo, no shower gel. Just one small bar of soap. - beyond the impression of cleanliness, there is actually a level of letting go that I can't cope with, even at 55 USD per night. Remember, it is Colombia, not Paris, so 55 USD is actually above average cost. See pictures I am attaching... Second night was worse. We got to the room with the intention to rest a little and two of us had to get up at 4.30 to get to the airport on time. And the shower had no hot water... We asked to have it fixed and receptionist told us he had no idea what the problem was and that he could not fix it. So no shower to travel back home, because the water was actually quite cold. Next morning the receptionist was Miss Smiles. I was quite bothered by what had happened, she told me they would fix it. I went back to room and waited for an hour. Nothing. Went back down, and found out that the problem was the flame of the gas heater had gone out. But it was "fixed". For something this silly, sorry but even I could have fixed it. At that point I was upset. No real apology, no offer to reduce invoice, nothing. And of course, three breakfasts were in the rate, even though two had left before the breakfast area opened. I would have stayed another night. I would have recommended the place to more friends of mine. But with that attitude, certainly not. Miss smiles asked me to fill a customer satisfaction survey, adding insult to injury. I did, and also asked to speak to manager, who, you guessed it, was not there. She said the manager would call me to discuss what had happened. I gave her a local phone number. Still waiting for the call. In short, good location, cheaper than if you stay in Poblado, but a worn down place with very poor customer service. They just want the money and don't care about your level of comfort and satisfaction. Not what I expect from a so called "boutique hotel". To me, just good for backpackers or someone who wants to be close to the stadium, for whatever reason. You have been warned.…
The hotel is basic but clean. On the first day I was assigned a room overlooking the street and found it noisy in the early morning so the next day they changed me to another room and it was very comfortable. I was in Colombia for work so was at breakfast modtly by myself. The staff always made me feel very welcomed and helped me get directions, taxis, and by the third day knew my preferences at breakfast. They were very helpfull keeping my luggage while I was away on a 3 day trip. The location is nice, walking distance to restaurants and shops. I would definitely come back.
