The hotel was in a great location. The hotel was very dated. Disappointed the pool was closed, safe wasn’t working, tap in bathroom not working. Definitely did not have a resort feel. No casino, but hotels with casinos close by so wasn’t an issue. We did not eat at the hotel but found some great places on the board walk. We would not stay here next time.

Stayed one night at Show Boat and went to the Water Park. Checking in was easy and ocean view room was very nice. Went to water park and had a great time. Plenty to do there with water attractions and arcade. Staff at all locations friendly and helpful. Nice family resort and would stay again!

The room was horrible! We were assigned a room in the unrenovated section of the hotel. The chairs and carpet were filthy and badly stained. The telephone was inoperable. The television was defective. The handle on the bathroom sink broke. The room was not cleaned until we brought it to their attention and then we were not given wash cloths. It was the worst and my husband and I will not be going back there again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. There were also gaping holes in the ceiling by the elevator hallway!

Our room was filthy and disgusting Carpet was stained, dust on corners, mold in the cabinet, mold on shower curtain, chair was stained and lighting in bathroom was out. I requested for housekeeping to clean but never came.

The checking in was great, the remodeling was great, but the customer service is not good. I was there to participate in a Fashion Show and the Customer Service people are NOT helpful. I had to send boxes back by UPS and NO ONE KNEW WHERE I NEEDED TO TAKE THEM, they did not even TRY to help or find out. They said "I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT". As a business person, this does not work for me, they have a I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU attitude. This needs to be FIXED, FIRE THEM AND GET PEOPLE THAT WANT A JOB, THAT WANT TO WORK, Customer service means YOU SERVE THE CUSTOMER, WE ARE PAYING PART OF YOUR SALARY WHEN WE STAY AT THE HOTEL. Please fix this or have a way for us to REPORT THEM, there was no one there to HELP, TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE.

That was the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in. The door was broken, so you had to slam it to shut. The sink and tub drains didn't work. There was ONE outlet to plug in electronics. I would never stay here again. 0/10

We had a king room. Room was large and bathroom was nice and big. The bed was comfortable and pillows nice and soft, I would stay again. Very close to Ocean Casino. Price was reasonable. There is a lot of movement at Showboat, very family oriented.

We were in room 907 it was nice , clean. I like the fact that they have replaced carpeted flooring with vinyl plank flooring since it is a beach and waterpark hotel . We spent our time between the beach , Hardrock casino and the showboat .the only issue we had is the shower head is really low so if you are taller than 5 ft 5 you are not under it . The room next to us their door wouldn't shut right so they had to keep slamming it . The 5th floor pool is nice but water is freezing we didn't get to the waterpark this time .

I only stayed here because I attended a charity event held in the lobby. If I had children and took advantage of some of the activities available for them, my review might be slightly different. But this review is based solely on the hotel room and available restaurant. The room Decour itself is completely outdated. Couch and cushions had holes, the drapes looked disheveled and dirty, the windows were dirty as well, and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed from the previous day. There were too many places where it was obvious that repairs were made and a trerrible job was done patching the walls. If I paid $100 a night, it would be more understandable and acceptable but at $300 a night, it’s way over priced. And $35 a day to park to boot. What they call a restaurant, is actually a large snack bar. I had the breakfast buffet which wasn’t worth the $20. The waffles and pancakes were spongy, the hashbrowns were so overdone and crunchy that it could cut your mouth, and the presentation just screams cheap. The only interaction with staff was at the front desk, and they all look like they hated their job. If the owners treat their employees like they treat their building, I can understand why they would. I hope I don’t need to come to Atlantic City again, but if I do, I certainly won’t be staying at the Showboat. …

First, let me say that I’m a big stickler about customer service; on my job I provided exemplary quality customer service to veterans for over 20 years; hence I expect it whenever I’m at places that provide a service that I may want and/or need. Anyhoo, when I approached the agent during the check-in process @ Showboat Hotel, I was greeted with a rude attitude and a very aggressive tonality with respect to asking for my identification and credit card. After finally getting my key cards and entering the assigned room (1491), I immediately stopped at the threshold of the room’s door and looked around in absolute shock at the filthy, disgusting chairs they had as decor, as well as the nasty dirty carpet that I and/or my wife refuse to put our bare feet on; thank God we brought footies (socks) to protect our feet from the obvious dirt and germs on it. Seriously, this room is despicable!! When I mentioned the condition of the room to a housekeeping supervisor she acknowledged knowing about it, however, she didn’t make an effort to inform anyone, nor did she have the presence of mind to try and accommodate my concerns. For the reasons I’ve stated I definitely don’t recommend this hotel (Showboat) to anyone who wants to have a pleasant lodging experience while in Atlantic City. …
