Stayed here for two nights for a business conference. Were given a room in the MGM Tower, which apparently was once called the Water Club. Our floor still smelled of new carpet from the apparent recent renovation. Room itself was spacious, and our room offered a great view of the marina. The bed was comfortable--closely approximating a Heavenly Bed. The gym is not 24/7 and is cramped and crowded, even on the weekend we were there. We were told that the gym for the other tower is under renovation, so that may explain the crowdedness, but it was difficult to find a treadmill or other cardio machine, let alone a dumbbell because of the high demand. There is no space for yoga or simple stretching. The gym aside, we tried several of the restaurants onsite (Sunroom and Metropolitan) and were happy with the service and the food, "resort" pricing notwithstanding. Not unexpected for a hotel in the NJ/NY region, the staff is not particularly friendly or outgoing.

Decided to take a long weekend getaway to Borgata. The Water Club Hotel is immaculate. It seemed very safe around the property also. The room was beautiful and very quiet. The only thing I missed was a tub to soak my sore body in. If you get a chance give it a try. And also recommend The Old Homestead Steakhouse for a great dinner while there.

Well, stay was perfect until I saw a lady wearing a white bra and black lace lingere with garter belt in the indoor pool. Thought swimming suits were the norm? Otherwise, all else top notch. Love the American Bar and slots. Will be back for more great fun!

This trip I stayed at the MGM tower, usually stay at the Bogota tower. Elizabeth, the Guest Service Agent was excellent and reliable as always. She gave great suggestions on about the tower. My room was great. I love the detachable shower head and all the amenities. The soap alone in the shower are the trip worth it. My friends and I wound up at the Buffet and Claudia was amazing.

The MGM Tower at The Borgota is shear perfection every time I have the pleasure of staying there. The rooms are lovely and always super clean. The staff is always so pleasant and extremely helpful. And the whole ambiance of the resort is just beautiful. I love everything about it. The pool at the tower is so nice and relaxing. Staff there is always so accommodating with towels and drinks. Amazing time all the time.

I came up for a Bridal Shower and stayed at the Borgata. The view of the Lagoon was incredible and so was the food at the Buffet!!!! The room was clean comfortable and well appointed. Definitely recommend. Although I did think I had gotten bitten on my arms, I’d like to think it was just a rogue mosquito. 👀

Better than last time. They spruced it up during the conversion to the MGM tower. Finally put in a enough light so you see! And added a clock. But there were only 3 small drawers for clothes because of the table and two chairs. The air in the indoor pool area is still a little cold. This trip we stayed on a Thursday & Friday nights, so there were more things open than the early week trip we did last time. I booked a "Stay Well" room by mistake and ended up paying more than I wanted. All for some "holistic" nonsense. Despite my complaints, I will be back.

We stayed at the Borgata tower two nights and then the MGM tower two nights for a 4 night stay total. The MGM tower and room were sooooo much nicer than the Borgata tower. The MGM tower elevators were not crammed with people like the Borgata tower and it was awesome that the coffee cart was in the lobby as soon as you come down in the morning. We rarely had to wait in line at the coffee cart! The maids were friendly and welcoming. We spent a lot of money in the casino. Slots were fun, had lots of bonus games… but the bonus games didn’t pay much lol. I played a buffalo machine, got a bonus round and didn’t win a cent! What was with that?! Table games… lots of table games but the minimums are a little high later in the day (even on weeknights). It’s a nice hotel and the casino is big but it is not near the boardwalk or beach. We visited the Hard Rock Casino as well, and that casino is cool! You can order drinks right from the slot machine to your seat! No waiting for a waitress to walk by which we did a lot of at Borgata… Borgata waitresses were hard to find. Our real only bad experience was when we left the hotel. The parking attendant was extremely rude to us over the free parking offered by MGM for my partners tier membership. She said his card is nothing but “trash” because it was apparently expired. The member card has a date on it but it does not say it is an expiry date. She told us we couldn’t get the free parking offer and to pay. My partner used his member card the entire time we stayed, used his tier benefits and no one said anything to him until we were leaving? His tier was still the same, just the physical card needed to be a newer one I guess?! Anyway, we asked the attendant if we could turn around to get a new card and she scoffed at us and told us to pay the parking fee to turn around. She was so freaking rude and it really peeved us off after spending thousands in the casino and hotel, only to be treated like trash upon leaving. It was only 30 seconds of one staff members terrible attitude, but we will now reconsider MGM properties in the future because of it. MGM needs to ensure staff are friendlier if they want to see our business.
