Club Wyndham Skyline Tower draws guests in with its prime location near the boardwalk, casinos, and shopping, although the surrounding cityscape receives mixed reviews. While the rooms are spacious and the resort's cleanliness is often praised, there are concerns about outdated decor and cleanliness inconsistencies. Travelers enjoy amenities like the pool and complimentary laundry services but feel the resort falls short of expectations in some areas.
Service experiences vary, with reports of both helpful staff and frustrating customer service issues. Additionally, guests are vocal about the unwelcome surprise of high cleaning fees and aggressive timeshare sales tactics.

Detailed Reviews
I am a Wyndham points owner. We made this trip specifically to use some expiring points. The place is nice and was well maintained. I injured myself while on vacation (my fault) and the staff checked on me the next day to see if they could do anything for me. My only complaint is this is a non smoking hotel. We had a two bedroom suite. The sheets and comforter of the master bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke. I could not sleep throughout the night and when I woke up I smelled smoke in my pores. I immediately took a shower, removed the sheets and comforter and took them to their laundry room to be washed. The room did not smell of smoke, which has me to believe that the residue of a smoker was left there, but if the sheets and comforter had been washed I should not have been able to smell cigarette smoke on them.

We booked a 3 bedroom presidential unit to celebrate my daughters graduation. The unit was ok.
Some things were just not planned properly. The refrigerator doesn’t open all of the way because of the oven. It rained and the balcony turned into a lake and was unusable. These things, while they did nothing ruin my experience, clearly were not thought out and made the experience a little less than desirable, especially because we paid extra for the presidential unit.
There were things that were in control of the property that were inexcusable. First, we tried to get into one of the beds and it was full of sand. This was under the blanket, the sheets had sand in them. This says that they are not changing linens in between guests and that is unacceptable, especially as we are just starting to pull away from COVID.
We called guest services to request new sheets and housekeeping was gone for the day so they sent up new sheets and said that there are blankets in the closets. The blankets in the closet were dirty. One had feces wrapped up in the blanket. It was disgusting.
The housekeeping manager called the next day and apologized and sent up fresh sheets again and a new comforter. I was happy with his response but knowing that they are not cleaning the units in between guests make me uncomfortable staying here again. I am upset that I paid quite a bit more in points for the presidential unit and this is what I got. Disappointed that for the monthly maintenance fees I pay as an owner, the units are not being maintained properly.
Now the good. The staff was very friendly and the housekeeping manager was good. He couldn’t control that the unit was cleaned and I hope he addressed it. The location was ok, I would’ve preferred it to be on the boardwalk but it’s not far.
Overall we had a good time and I tried not to let the issues we encountered ruin our trip.

Monday through Thursday the average wait for a elevator is 5 minutes. Friday through Sunday the average wait is 30 minutes and hope the elevator is not full. The first night I checked in there was a roach crawling around the bathroom sink and I was moved to another room. When the elevators stopped working and I was stuck on the 29th floor I was on my own. The activities on the 6th floor was nice. There was a 4ft deep swimming pool, hot tub, activities center, movie theatre, and complimentary laundry room all you need it bleach and fabric softener the free and clear detergent was complimentary. It is only 1 block from the boardwalk so my advice is read the reviews and book at your own risk.

I have stayed at this property a dozen times or more over the last decade and based on our latest trip - this will be the last. Wyndham has always taken very good care of this property; from the gym to the pool and guest rooms, they are always on top of maintaining a clean & functional environment. We have never been disappointed.
The staff on the other hand have much to be desired. If there was anyway I could give the "Check In" process ZERO stars I would. I have never been spoken to in such a condescending manner by anyone in the hospitality industry. After driving for hours to reach the resort, the last thing we wanted was to have a staff member rush us through our check in and speak to us in a short manner. It was as if we were an inconvenience when we arrived. The rest of the staff, such as the bell staff, valet and room attendants were always friendly, but starting a trip with the negative experience at check-in set the tone for our stay.
This property is very convenient to everything in AC, but the service out-weighs the location, The long waits at the elevator weren't enough to keep us away from Skyline Tower over the years. but the poor service is too much to look past and we will be staying elsewhere in the future.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. But stay away from this resort during Covid 19 due to its disrespectful guests.
The guests of the hotel do not observe NJ regulations related to Covid 19 - no masks, no social distancing. The lines to the elevators are long and are not managed by the hotel staff.
We reserved 3 nights but stayed only one night and left early in the morning while the elevators were not crowed.
The hotel management was very professional, understanding, and accommodating about our decision to cut short our stay.

I received a text from the hotel the night before my stay saying one elevator was out of service. I looked it up and found out this has been a problem for months. So basically they don’t tell you until it is too late to cancel. One Working elevator for 30+ floors! And during a pandemic, only 4 people allowed on elevator at a time. And Each time we had to wait at least 20 min. Ridiculous. Had three children so couldn’t take stairs up and down 25 flights. They need to spend the money to have all three elevators up and running. This has to be a violation.
Room was not good- carpet was sticky and hallways smelled like weed and cigarettes. Didn’t trust using the linens as they looked dirty.
Walls are super thin- can hear every noise next door and above our room
Parking lot is awful and $10 a day- can park in offsite lots for cheaper.
Pay for an AirBnb or stay at a casino. Not worth it.

I went to this hotel really looking forward to staying at a condo style suite with a balcony for the first time i would be in Atlantic City. When I showed up though to check in, I was quickly told that I had no reservation despite confirmation/receipt and charges billed to my card. After the situation was reviewed for some time, I was approached a person who did not identify themselves as a manager and appeared to be a security guard telling me it was not their problem the reservation did not come through and to basically leave the premises. The disinterested and bothered staff members blamed me directly for booking on a third party site they referred to as "suspicious" and that I would need to figure it out on my own. I would mention though that this site I booked is owned by booking.com and was referred to booking there by Kayak as I have for many years (not exactly a fly by night site).
I get that these issues happen with bookings but I was suprised how disinterested, disgruntled and unwilling to help in anyway the staff had approached the situation.
One major irony I noticed though was that the entire time I was trying to resolve this issue, much more professionally acting staff members from a 2nd desk that I thought were kept walking towards me but then turning around. It only dawned on me later that these friendly and professional staff members were really salesman trying to sell me a time share the second I got checked in. They actually asked me a few times if i checked in yet and when I said no or that i couldn't get my reservation to go through, they walked right away.
They seemed to be conveniently situated right in front of the elevators which I was warned in prior reviews run super and appeared to coincidentally have huge lines where salespeople could start trying to get their attention.
On top of that, I noticed the neighborhood around the hotel did not appear to be very safe and the place had a large number of security guards. I was approached by a few homeless people while trying to sort this situation out in my car.
I, of course, can't speak for the rooms or other aspects of the hotel but would be very concerned about the check in process or resolving any possible issue that might arise. I also would be very wary of this brand or the hotel itself especially you are absolutely certain they know about your reservation.
I have had issues similar to this happen with hotels over the many years I've traveled but never received such a nasty and careless response even if I booked from a third party site. I also have dealt enough working with customer service departments and customer facing staff to assume that any place would know that you would try to make at least some effort to make a customer whole to retain business and maintain your reputation, so I find this experience shows the hotel must be quite poorly managed.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. From the front desk staff to the parking attendants and security everyone was very helpful, smiling and greeted us always.
The efficiency room we stayed in on the 29th floor was immaculate. It was well stocked with towels and everything we needed for our stay and well appointed. There is not anything I can find that was not satisfactory regarding the room.
All COVID protocols were adhered to and the hotel staff did everything in their power to make us all feel safe.
I would of given this property 5 star but because of the elevator issues I gave them 4. After check in we waited 35 minutes for an elevator. The elevators were iffy and every time we went to get one we waited no less than 15 minutes. One day we just walked down 25 flights of stairs just to get to the parking garage. Every guest we encountered was fed up with the elevators! Please fix this issue.
The last issue was the horrid smell of weed every single time we went out on the balcony. No matter what time we went outside someone was smoking weed and it was very strong wafting into our room.
Despite these issues, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

First, let me start saying that we stayed for 5 nights and not even one time they change our linens. We ran out of clean towels and towel paper. Nobody asked us if we need something, or call our room to Offer cleaning services. Tye service in this hotel is horrible and disappointed. No restaurants in service, no breakfast, no activities for kids, no game room, no washing machine in the room and you need to make a reservation to use the washing machines. Reservation also to enjoy the pool. This was very frustrating and irritating when you feel you are stuck in a room. The town is unsecured and dirty around the area. Bad look and mostly everything were closed. This is the worst hotel I ever had visited in my life. Not recommended at all. Don’t waste your money or Club Wyndham points going to this horrible place. I regret it!
